Default Fuel Pump Controller/Relay compatibility?

Here is the deal after getting into the meat of my swap/conversion I seem to have gotten everything but the Fuel Pump Controller. The clip is an 02-03 JDM WRX EJ20.

After searching through several threads I have seen a few tidbits of info but nothing definitive. Are all the turbo fuel controllers pretty much the same?? If not which ones are compatible?? Need to know so I can track down the proper part.

The fuel pump controllers more or less do the same thing. The best route to go is pick up a 04 WRX unit as it comes with a short pigtail on it which makes it much easier to wire into the system.

you can wire up any full-on fuel pump through a relay to the WRX ECUs "fuel pump controller signal 1" output if you don't want to mess with a controller. still have to hook up the tank pressure, level sender and fuel temp sensor though. IIRC it chucks a code but you can turn it off. may not though.

Actually picked up one with the short pig tail, believe its an 04 STI controller.

Funny you should mention the tank pressure, level sender and temp sensor as my ecu plugs don't seem to have wires where the pinouts show these should be. I had thought those were related to Emissions standards that were US reated.... any thoughts on this?

bump on this. Mine went bad. I want to know what I can replace with...and ideally just plug in the new one. I don't see why my 02 wrx wouldn't already have this pig tail I can just plug it in to.

If you have a WRX and the FPC went bad just replace it with a standard 02 WRX one or go to a junkyard and find one. I have one that I'll let go of. Shoot me a PM.
