My obs is running weird

This just started happening two nights ago. It seems like it doesnt want to move anywhere and the rpms just keeping going up. When I stop it smells like something is burning too.

Anyone know whats going on.

Could it just need tranny fluid? My friend said it looked like it was leaking something red but it looked closer to the power steering stuff

hey man i know you are new and all but for future reference when you make a thread saying your car is running weird you should post simple mods and info about the car that would help.

like the above asked is it an auto or a 5 speed, how many miles, etc

with that being said if you are leaking trans fluid( automatic trans have fluid and manual trans have gear oil). then you can probably add some fluid and see if your issue gets better.

now if its manual and you are leaking that wont make a difference on how it drives unless the oil is gone. but most likely the clutch is shot!

Only mod I have is a axleback its got 185xxx miles. So how much for a clutch and how hard to install it

if those are your only mods i would look into a oem replacement and they arent to hard if you are willing to take the time and do the heavy lifting. look at amazon for there prices as they seem to be the cheapest around.

the clutch and the pressure plate and the flywheel and the throw out bearing and the pilot bearing. its a clutch kit. and most come with everything but the flywheel.

I looked at autozone its 159 for the clutch kit. Does anyome have one on here?

Do not buy duralast holy **** lesson learned. Go with exedy oem clutch kit i believe they have them at checker. Good luck!!

Don't even think about going with autozone crap. Get regular Exedy replacement and not worry about it. It's cheap enough

You should try the tranny fluid first, a friend of a cousin tried that on his Honda and it fixed it, same exact issue
