705whp for 10.75 at 130mph @ 3500lbs? thats honestly a great run, but I didnt think it would take that much power, altitude obv makes you need a buttload more power, have you ever done a run any lower down in altitude?

485whp here when hb was open on what I call fudged #'s because its only 52lb 30r, stock motor and clutch at maybe 3350 w me in, 11.2 @ 127, id love to break tens but not sure if my turbo and current weight can.

I sand bagged too hard in the first round and tapped the brakes too early. Lost by .02 seconds to a nitrous supercharged mustang.

Nice job once again Cam!! When you get it fixed you gotta get down to the Clint track...you'll be at least 1.5 seconds faster than the fastest Subaru!! Insane! You definitely take the cake around this area!

Strong enough to lose a wrist pin and power through the 1320!

Nice run Cam!

Carillo or pauter is my vote. Turbo tuffs are probably stronger but I'm hearing the extra weight negates the good of the rod....like causes bearing stress. My tt's have been holding strong so far

I've been reading a lot and was considering the TT's but the weight concerns me. I'll probably spend the extra $ and get some Carrillo's.

If you're going to spend extra $$, go for a 3MI in 300M with +2mm, and a piston to match. MPS also has a nice H-beam (similar to Carrillo design/materials, not thin china junk), probably at a better price than 300M rods, and probably available in +2.

Did the wrist pin work its way out at all before the bearing went?

Pistons are already here, so I'm running an OTS CP. MPS rods won't be available for quite a while and I want to get the car done in the next month or so. The wrist pin worked out far enough to drag along the cylinder wall which was the probable cause of the bearing failure.
