06 Air Conditioner noise?

I have an automatic 06 impreza. I bought one of those smaller bottled diy ac recharge kits and it didn't recharge it at all. Now it is making a high pitch sound when the ac is under pressure. Should I buy more recharge and let some of the pressure out of the car? Any thoughts?

Also, the car was working normal before I messed with it. It just wasn't getting as cold as it did before.

I reccomend you take it to a professional. The price of the components that you can damage trying to save a few dollars is not worth it if you mess up. If there is too much freon in the system, you can wipe out the compressor pretty quick. Noises are usually a sign that something is wrong. AC systems are really quirky, save yourself the headache and break out your wallet.

You may have over pressurized the system, I would take it to a professional. If you damage anything in the AC system it can be an expensive repair bill. Plus it's get real hot without it.
