Default Help with bugeye jdm hid lights

I bought a set of used Jdm headlights and the plug for the hid ballast is triangular shaped on the light but square shaped on the ballast. Did different year lights have a different plug? The part number on the ballast is 84965FE010. Any insight to this would be appreciated. A part # for a square plug would be great! Thanks.

actual JDM lights with the wrong light cutoff? don't use those please.
JDM replicas with correct cutoff and halogen optics with an hid system? don't use those please.
JDM replicas with correct cutoff and HID optics and an HID system? are you sure the optics are HID correct?

Are you sure the ballast/light combo worked before you got them? is there missing wiring?
Did you contact the seller you got them from?

If i remember correctly the connector was triangular on mine too on the headlight side of the ballast, and the ballast would match.

If you have real jdm hid bugeyes, make sure you have the correct ballast because these lights have the igniter inside the headlight, not in the ballast like most others.

And while you are working in there, do yourself a favor and retrofit the projectors with better ones that are also going to be lhd and light up the correct side of the road. You'll be glad you did it. Or if you are short on money and good with your hands make yourself a lhd cutoff shield.

On My ballast(part#84965FE010) there are three wires(orange, brown, black,) they go into a square plug with one spot not used. My lights have three wires(orange, brown, black) in a triangle plug. As long as the wires match each color the shape of the plug is irrelavant? Thanks for the help.

wire colors matching does not mean necessarily mean they are supposed to go together.
more research is required.

Just in case anyone searched this and had the same issue. The lights work perfect. I guess the lights and the ballast I got were not off the same car. I just popped the pins out of the square plugs and got the right triangular plugs (from Toyota) and put the pins in those. Thanks.
