Moving to New England From Northern VA

I will be moving to the New England region the end of this month from the Northern Va region. I've worked at a large defense contractor in the NoVA region for the past few years after graduating from Syracuse University. Moving to be with my college girlfriend (also a Mechanical Engineer...we're geeks) who lives and works in the Leominster, Ma area. I've gotten a job at research laboratory in Westford, MA.

I am very excited about this move, I am a very outdoors type person. I Love to hike and have been a competitive mountain biker for the past 6 years. I'd love to link up with some people to learn where the good biking and hiking trails are.

We've been looking at apartments between Lemoninster and Westford. We've found a few really nice looking complexes in Concord, Ma. Prices seem a good deal cheaper then in Nova but I've had a hard time finding places with private garages...Maybe asking for too much. Anyone have any suggestions or leads on towns to look in?
