our new DGM Sport. Thinking tints and mesh/sport style grill are high on the list.

My solution to keeping it non-rice is to just tint em and not black em out. So i was thinkin 2 coats of vht nightshades. It looks like 4 coats is essentially black out.

Might add a coat to headlights too, but i think you have to remove bumper to get em off which sounds like a pain.
hmmm makes me wonder if I wanna attempt the screws again.

Mine was film. Yes, I dont agree with blacked out. Just tinted. Its stupid when people behind you cant see clearly when you brake. Its asking for trouble.

Just get a stubby phillips, works great and is useful for all kinds of jobs.

I was thinking of this, but since i have the limited trim, theres chrome all over the car. So i figured i would embrace it and leave all the chrome untouched.

however tint is on the list.

I would like to do THIS to all the chrome on my car. I can't stand chrome personally...

I would prolly go with a slightly higher gloss vinyl

looks good! do it! just make sure you dont accidentally ding your paint with the cutter. Rust will surely happen. I made that mistake before.

I'm placing my order tomorrow! I've been looking through this thread and can't wait to finally get the ball rolling on my own beautiful Subaru. Going with the '13 sport premium

What do you guys think about the audio though? Worth it to get the upgraded speakers and tweeters or should I just get stock and then upgrade the HU and speakers on my own?

I'm about to get flamed here, but the stock, non-upgraded, on my Sport Premium really isn't that bad.

I'd say go base model audio system, and then buy a new head unit, speakers and tweeters, because then you will know what you have and have what you want.

I'm getting my '12 DGM Sport Premium on Friday!! I'm also wondering about the upgraded speakers and the powered sub. I'm coming from a car with Alpine Type-S dynamics with 2 Type-R 12's so it's going to be a bit of a shock when I crank up the stock stereo in the Subie haha.

Change out the stock head unit first. The speakers can take a beating.

Cool, thanks for the input guys. I'll order stock audio and then change it out when I get some time. It should be a fun project too, it's been years since I've done it.

And who knows, I've spent the majority of the past year with a bike as my main mode of transportation (to force myself to train for various events, and to save on gas money) so just the presence of a stereo might be awesome enough
