What's up you guys , I run Gun Toys, it's branched off S.A.W inc. (Schram's Automatic Weapons) there's a store located at 184 S. Collins Rd. Sunnyvale TX.
I'm 28 into cars (Subaru's) guns and knives. Looking for someone interested in working gun shows on the weekends. We are based out of Sunnyvale by Mesquite. We do all the shows out of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Tyler, Lewisville, Mesquite, but sometimes we travel to San Antonio, Houston and other cities in Texas. All expenses paid for when traveling out of town. Parking is paid for if you want to drive by yourself out of town, or you can ride with me.
Gun Toys sells class 3 items, supressors, magazines, weapon lights, flashlights, uppers, stocks, and accessories. Brands like surefire, Gemtech, Silincer co, lazer mags, Crimson Trace, Veridian, Insight, Stream Light, Trijicon, Acogs, Eotechs, etc....
Prefer someone who is knowledgable and comfortable around firearms and accessories. Looking for someone cool and laid back that can get the job done, and that I can get along with. Not a wanna be cop or Mall ninja. Job's pretty cool pays $125 a day to stand around and talk about guns and gun accessories. The shows usually run 9-5 Sat. 10-4 Sunday with the exception of loading up merchandise after the show on Sunday. It's really not that hard with 2 people. Usually were done in less than 2 hours. If you can work Friday that's great it's $75 to unload and set up the tables, usually it takes 2 hours give or take depending on how fast you work. It's a small set up I can usually do it with 1 other person and a cashier. Super cake job and fun. Ultimately I am looking for someone who can do it every show long term, and set up on Fridays. Comfortable around a truck and trailer. This is no Ma and Pa Show we are one of the biggest vendors in Texas, if not "The biggest". I'm sure I've probably met you a time or two before if you've worked with SAW at the shows in Dallas. I've bought from Jeff for years and usually wind up at the at his booth BSing with him or Pat.

Well, except that they won't do Form 4 transfers for items they sell in store. I understand that they want to sell the item themselves since most of their margin is there but for NFA items I'd still want to do transfers as those are the people who will get the word around that they carry the items in stock (so no wait on a Form 3). I would have totally bought it from them if they had price-matched what I was getting online, which amounted to less than 10% off, and I would have still ended up paying more due to state taxes but might have been worth the 4-6 weeks saved on the Form 3.

Who knows, maybe they thought I was some dupe that was just trying to get a good price and they didn't know that I spend thousands per year in firearms junk and would have been a good customer to add. Maybe I just called at the wrong time? I know the lady I was speaking to was consulting with someone else that was handling the new shipment of TBAC goodies that knew their stuff on NFA transfers and maybe didn't have the authority to price match.

We give 10% off if you pay upfront for your class 3 item next time talk to Jeff. Prices at the shows are usually a little cheaper also , keep in mind most places that take your money don't even stock the the suppressor and order it only after the paperwork clears ,
About the transfer you will find allot of places do that , And ones that do charge out the ... I tried to do a standard transfer at a well known local shop and they wanted $90 I couldn't believe it that's more than we make on most firearms .

Thanks , I've only done a couple shows in dallas over on the guns side . I worked for him in houston before all this .

Support your local businesses you guys especially our type of business , besides it's way better to see and feel what you buy in person especially firearms .

See I wasn't even offered that, and I know I told her that I had cash in hand (well, a credit card in hand) ready to pay the full amount right there if they could deal on the price. I kept getting quoted MSRP on it (unless you mark up from TBAC's prices?). I had found a group buy online that was offering pretty ridiculous prices so I had already signed up for that and James mentioned SAW for a transfer. Only when I called did I find out they had TBAC in stock, something I didn't expect because there aren't many buying the high-end cans like that. Do you even bring those to shows and mark them down? I'd think those would keep their sticker price.

I'm not going to judge a place after one bad experience, unless it was outright awful. I've already told some others around here that SAW has TBAC cans in stock because they're probably great if you're going in to buy one at MSRP. The fact they have several in stock is amazing. Just a bit disappointed they didn't want to take my money just then

dropped my CZ 75d compact off at a local smith. 12k plus rounds through it, figured it was time to look at the firing pin and give it a better cleaning than my field strip can do for it. Still waiting for that original barrel to wear out... any day now I'm sure. At least it gave me an excuse to shoot more with the CZ CCO 45 at the range today

I know it does. That's why I said "select fire."

I got a chance to fire one that had been internally suppressed by GemTech a few months back. The extra weight of the suppressor leveled out the recoil nicely in burst mode.

But the 10mm select fire internally suppressed MP5 I fired that day was just... no words. I almost took out another mortgage on the house to pay the twenty grand to take it home with me.

I should have my new brake installed in the next week or two. The Form 3 cleared last week and should be at the Class 3 dealer this week. He'll get it properly indexed. Then it's Form 4 paperwork and lots of waiting

When I spoke to the ATF and asked them about form 4 times, they said they're down to 3-4 months now. So yeah, about six months total.

Picked up another Glock, a model 30 this time. It has a little more emotional value that others. It was my best friends Glock, and he passed last year from cancer. His wife called me up and asked if I wanted to buy it.

So I broke down and picked up the Nikon P-223 Carbine Scope last night. Mounted it up and I like the look feel of it. Just need to sight it in now and see how true she holds.

Kind of upset because now I have no use for my flip ups
