A while ago, I was visiting my friend with an EVO 9. he has a 2 year old daughter that pointed at my car and made "steering wheel hands" So i unlocked it and let her mother set her in my car as she began to pretend driving it. The mother said, "she never does this with his EVO!" made me smile, and later re adjusting all the knobs and dials, I smiled again.

Also at a car show, a toddler was leading his mom around the show, and stopped by my car and said "mommy! mommy! that's the one I want!", as his mother continued walking, he started screaming it at the top of his lungs. lol

Nah..my mom isn't that naive. She's owned 3 Subarus since the early 1980's so she can spot a Subaru out of a crowd, but has had trouble identifying between the turbo models.

She scolds me for removing the catalytic converter though (she's kinda a tree hugger >_>)..

I am jealous of her magic ability to get 28mpg with my car when I can only manage 24mpg at my best.

I'm able to sqeez 30 once.... 28 is just as hard

Those "cars not murican" people make me laugh my ass off. I remember when my dad's friend said that about my mom's Eagle Talon TSI. Hilarious since it was made just 15 minutes from our house and is not even sold in Japan.

Meanwhile a Camaro is made in Ontario. I think the engine in that car is even manufactured in Australia though I could be wrong there.

Hilarious that your friend is driving a completely Australian car.

Despite ford outsourcing a lot of **** to Mexico at least the Mustang is built in the US. Just like a Subaru Legacy, DSM Eclipse, or the upcoming Jettas.

the engine in most Hildens are GM. I believe they're from the Corvette's. You are right about it beig Aussie. Pontiac didn't do **** to change it at all, it literally is a re-badged Holden Monaro. GM owns Holden, so it's ok I guess. Even a few Saturns were Holdens

My friend was telling me about his boss's sti that he has just purchased. I asked him what was done to it and he told me "its a WRX swapped sti..... and it has two giant twin turbos sitting in the grill"(Hellas)

Then we had a 20 min argument about the sti being higher performance wise. After that i just walked away shaking my head...

There were a lot of Opels in saturn as well which is GMs continental europe brand.

They really are an international company, no different than Toyota or Honda really. I remember a friend used to have a Honda Civic SI that was made in Swindon England or something like that.

All of Ford's good australian cars are not sold in the US, at least GM made an effort. Its just dumb to bash "foreign" cars when your car is also foreign.

So I pulled up to my driveway in my new subie and my 7 year old son runs out of the house wanting to see my new car and this what he says:

son: Let me see it, let me see it!
Me: Do you like it?
son:I love it...awesome! (he says as he's sitting in it)

He jumps out and walks around the car, all smiles saying: "I dont want the bumble bee car anymore, I want a Subaru like this one dad" LOL

Victor: Would you ever put mudflaps on your car? (he doesn't own a subie)
Me: Yes I would because the first few weeks I had my car, I already found quite a few rock chips.
Other guys: Yeah hell yeah!
Me: Hey Victor... Have you ever had Mud Flaps before?
Victor: Yeah!
Me: gives him High 5 including another friend...
