Yes fun and interesting builds out there for sure, subscribed to all mentioned, your's is one of them. PTE looks to use a smaller hot to cold side differential than BW and even Garret so that is why I am looking at the 5862. I'm not sure that they are slower to spool though, look at the P&L proto turbo kit with a PTE, http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2371591, it's not slow!

Bariga's did turn out and it's not turned up yet either, it took so long but the sharp edge is slower most times. Kelly's should be dialed from what I see him post up very practical and very thorough approach! Binjoa's turned out great and it looks like he will do the 6 speed and then turn it up some also. He's running the high comp D25 heads with Dom's custom LR build, 9.2/ 1 so his boost is going to be a bit lower but it must be a rocket!

I've looked at that P&L Thread before, but coudln't find the turbo information. If that is the 5862... I bought the wrong turbo haha. I don't need the top end that the 6262 offers, but I want some quick spool. We'll see. I got the small hotside .84, twin scroll and dual wastegates that I'll use as close to running pressure as possible so that they seal tight till close to target boost to aid in spool. The thing I did wrong was buy my cams, they are a little too aggressive I think.

Im not going to push my setup more! My tune/build is finial i'm totally happy with 520 whp at 25 psi and full spool at 4200 rpm.
This turbo flows **** loads of air and i'm at 90% duty cycle at 19 psi with ID 1000cc injectors.

Which heads are better the B25s or D25? I'll be running S20s up until I get my LR motor from Dom.

Sorry my mistake, so his comp ratio is what 8.8/1 (B25) instead of 9.2/1 (D25)?

I thought you were waiting for Dom to get a Vipec knock amp to tune you with a bit more timing? I'd be completely happy with your power for sure! It's nice to see these builds and all the innovation going on! It's good for all of us.

They haven't released the turbo info yet, only that it's a PTE. Who knows maybe a 5862, 6262 or 6266. The tune was on E85 so aggressive timing for sure, that's partly why it comes on so quick. I think the 5862 is rated at 640 CHP at around 28 psi on pump gas. You're probably good with the 6262 and twin scroll. You're running AVCS right? CW S2 cams are a bit more aggressive duration wise but you'll need those extra gasses to fill all those tubes and you have a smaller HS AR than Anton's EFR so I'll bet you'll be just fine. Are you going to do an E85 tune?

Yeah, I'll be doing E85 and AVCS.

One of the last mods for my car is a bulk tank in my truck haha. Traverse City / Big Rapids are the closest E stations near me, so I think a little 50 gallon will sit nicely in the bed of my truck Might help me in a pinch too as I drive appx 3500 miles a month work related. 56k miles on my truck and it's 14 months old

LOL, the truck can be the mother ship! That thing will be crazy on E85. You going to use the ID2000's? Amazed that there is no E85 in Cadillac. Is there a Meijers there? With no E85? Wow, I thought I drove a lot of miles. I average around 35k a year as a sales rep covering IN and OH from Northern MI. Mostly in my truck towing a trailer but I use the Foz for more rapid transit events without all the samples for line showings.

Yeah I'm hoping it'll be fun! No E85 here, but we do have a meijer's maybe when they redo the gas station I'll get lucky. I work near big rapids so it shouldn't be an issue. I don't figure more than a tank and a half a weekend, so a 50 gallon should suffice.

Funny you.mention that, I put on 35,860 last year work related ... 56000 on my 2011 truck already.

The only thing I was concerned about was still going bad, does anybody have any data on how long E85 will last without jeopardizing quality. I know Google is not too far away but just curious if any Subaru owners have experience with this.

T minus 36 hours and my exhaust will be here. I am very excited.

I completely missed this thread because of the title being of uninteresting value. A Fobia TS kit with a rotated manifold and smart hotside choice running E makes me a lot more interested though! Looking forward to your results!

Ha thanks I think.

I've been meaning to change it, but there's some things that are hard to do from a phone.

I'm excited too. Pictures of exhaust will be posted Thursday night. Hoping to hear back from some people soon about tuning...

I mean it in the best way possible; too many subaru's with rotated kits end up with tiny hotsides trying to get spool back and end up running horribly because of it insane back pressue numbers.

You're in uncharted waters, so I have no idea what to really expect besides a whole lot of topend because of your cam selection.

Since I changed the clutch line, I obviously have had no pressure due to air in the system. Today I went to bleed it out with a buddy, and we were cracking the valve, pump pump ... pump and hold pedal down most of way, then crack the valve, and bleed it till nearly to the floor, then I'd close the valve and repeat.

Watching the slave cylinder work, it appears that it is working, but I would have thought with a 6 puck ACT / and a Heavy duty pressure plate, it'd be a bit firmer. I did engage the throw out bearing by pushing the fork back.

Does it make sense that it would be easy to depress the pedal with such an aggressive plate in there? The pedal does come all the way back up to be inline with the others.

Bump for boredom.

Fuel system is all set to go, just need some E85 to test things out and pressure check.

What's the longest you want e85 sitting in a tank for? I'm hoping to be running base map by end of the month.

We'll see though.
