Hell ya man!!! Congrats! So jealous I have been waiting three weeks, and it's killing me I don't want to know what your wait felt like.

To be honest I'm so confused on all theses problems that are associated with the stock tune causing problems.... I'm not sure who to believe . Because it happens to both stock and tuned STi's .
I'm leaning towards not doing anything to void my warranty . |

Ordered my WRX Limited Hatchback DGM with spt exhaust, sts, subwoofer, homelink mirror and cargo tray. Order should go in on Monday and then the wait begins. I'm probably just going to try to forget about it and enjoy my bugeye in its last couple months.

And I just read a thread about how to avoid the troublesome VDC/Hill Start Assist/ABS on the GR. Pardon me if everyone already know the trick but it's the first Subaru for me. It seems just simply pull the No.1 fuse with 30Amp rating in the engine compartment fuse box, that way you don't have ABS/VDC/Hill Start Assist if you decide to fully control the car by yourself instead of computer. I don't mind ABS and VDC but from what I read in that thread "the HSA is a falty design as it would prevent you from proper start at inclined traffic light or similar situation and may cause some accident if not aware HSA was in action. Just like it holds brake and suddenly launch off with partial throttle as the system assumes the driver did not know how to modulate the gas padel with clutch and trying to prevent roll back. But it don't release the brake instantly or fast enough for the driver......"
Don't know if the HSA on GR is really that nanny or not. Any thoughts on this issue? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NVM youtube solve the problem Last edited by idauntless; 09-10-2012 at 07:09 AM. Reason: Problem solved |

Also what everyone think about the stock IHI VF48 turbo on the upcoming Sti? Why people would like to swap to a ball bearing turbos?

My 5dr SWP WRX Premium has a date of NOV since I ordered it on Aug 15th. I'm hoping it will be more like mid October. My dealer said they'll mount and balance winter tires on the OEM rims for free when I pick it up. I'm thinking of grabbing a set of Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D tires for $750 on tirerack.

I called SoA and gave them my VON, they said "month of December". For what it's worth, I placed my order on the 30th of August.
I may end up trying to snag another WRX on a lot instead of waiting. Im replacing a car that is going to be sold soon, I don't know the I can be without a car for that long! |

Ordered my WRX hatchback on 8-3 and got an ETA on 9-19. Posted old car on Craigslist on same day and got it sold in 3 days. Going everywhere on feet and bicycle for 1 month now. Not fun. Waiting continues.....

Congrats on selling your car in 3 days, at least you don't have to worry about that. Hope I have the same luck.

Well I can now finally add myself to this thread, ordered (did paperwork) today.
Plasma blue hatch sti, with nav, sts, auto dim mirror, and trunk tray. The sales man said its gonna be about 6-8 weeks, more likely the 8 weeks. Anyways I'm not expecting it till December at earliest according to this thread. |
