Default 02 WRX with 04 WRX Map

Hi !

I have a 02 WRX since 2008. A Freind of mine bought a 04 WRX a week ago. Along a testdrive with his car I feeld the car performes way mutch better. As like the old GTīs. The Turbo kicked your ass !!!

So my questoion.
Can i settle my 02 WRX with the map from the 04 WRX ? Where are the differences?

His 2.0L Engine looks like the same as mine.
Could you please explain the differences with these 2 Engine managements? Why has the 04 WRX 224 HP and the 02 WRX 218 HP?

No. Different flash methods and the 04 ECU uses an additional EVAP sensor that the 02 doesn't have.

I guess the real question is, what modifications do you have done to your car, and is your car currently tuned?

There are no modifications on both ! Stock WRX 02 and no Modifications on the 04 WRX.
