Default Cobb AccessPort vs Dyno ProTune

Hey guys,
I just bought an 02 wrx with several mods such as :
AEM cold air
Hks turboback 3" full exhaust
Hks bov (yes I know its not good for a wrx)
Bigger intercooler
Aluminum radiator

Now I would like to assume the guy who spent the money to drop the mods also had the brains for a protune but I just dont know. I already need a new tranny 2 weeks later so im assuming not...

Anyways as the question will prove im a noob at tuning. Especially turbo cars.
My question is do I spend $300+ on a protune at the dyno track which is 90 miles away, or do I buy an accessport for $200 more and get maps online or from someone who knows what they are doing? It basically a single time tune vs the ability to tune any second of any drive I want. Right?
