NH seems to have some of the worst laws for cars. I dropped off my car in Mass to get tint done. I asked for 50% all around and I guess they didn't hear me right...picked it up with 15% all around. Got a deduction off the price and to be honest I am kind of glad it happened. The NH cops give me a hard time but that's the price you pay. Honestly Ben, I would do EL headers (Tomei or maybe KillerBee) tint and then a prova D or GT spec steering wheel.

EL headers and then the steering wheel sounds pretty good. I do think I need to at least hard wire the fuel pump or I'm not going to make any more power.

I got 30% all around and noticed a huge heat difference. I do kinda wish I'd done 20% though

It's nice too have in the winter too. Sun reflects off the white snow.

I vote steering wheel. Then street glow!

While that does sound like a good idea, it would be very costly to make it worthwhile. If I were going to plunk down the money I would want to step up to a slightly larger turbo. To do so, I would definitely need fuel, and probably want heads too. Then it works out kind of like this:

Twin Scroll Rotated Header/Uppipe: $2,400
Rotated 3" Downpipe: $1,000
Tial 44mm EWG: $400
BW EFR or Other Turbo: $1,800
Fuel System (Surge Tank, Pump(s), Fuel Lines, Rails, FPR, etc): $1,000
Cams: $700
Valves, Headwork, etc: $3,000

And that's a cool $10k

20-30% might be good. I'm worried it would be too dark at night though.

Dang your quoting more than even full race for some of the stuff. Also if you went BW EFR wouldn't need a wastegate. True about the headwork and cams

I was basically just quoting exactly the Full Race prices. Good point on the EFR not needing an EWG. I could sell the one I have too. Too bad they are impossible to find. So I'm down to $9200.

What would your surge tank/rails/lines/etc setup be for $1000? Custom crafted? That's waaaaaay less than my number for my fuel system...just curious as to what you had in mind..

You could sell your turbo, ewg set up, and your bov (integrated just like the wastegate) your downpipe.

We are talking about the future here so they should be fully released by then

I figured custom surge tank and normal rail prices. I didn't really price out the lines. Just guessed. This is certainly a big hurdle for more power. Did you try a FPR or Boost a Pump with your oldsetup? It seems those paired with an in tank pump like a Walbro can support quote a bit over 500WHP.

So it's down to a few thousand just for the rotated setup and turbo. It still won't make any more power than I do now unless I spend the money on fuel and likely heads.

My car is relatively stock and I thoroughly enjoy track time. Your car is insanely quick and probably beastly on a road course. If I had your setup, I would probably designate it as my full time track car and pickup a N/A Suby for daily duty.

It could make more power if the BW turbos turn out like they have been being teased to be. But you would def run out of juice up top. Fuel with E85 creates headaches sometimes lol.

I do agree with the others you could just put off going with more power and track it more =D then when you feel that's too slow go bigger ha

It was really fun on the road course the last time I went. Until the tranny broke during the first session

My point was that I won't make any more power with ANY turbo unless I add more fuel. I could put on a Borg Warner S374 and it wouldn't make any more power than my current turbo, without fuel. But the EFR turbo's are all hype thus far, IMO. Once they really come out and we can see if they hold up long term and produce good results on more than just the cars that are owned by the people selling them, then we can decide if they're any good or not.

Track time is always a good option. But this is a street car. It spends 99% of it's driven life on the street, so I'm willing to make it more fun in that regard, rather than trying to spend every penny on track days. They're obviously the best for furthering my driving ability, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'll have any more fun than I would be just zipping around town with a big turbo, lol.

If anyone was going to push your car to the limit at the track (besides Chong) it would be you. You have that crazy look in your eye, the one void of fear. I am sure you'll have fun next season.

What about tint after our drive last night testing the SS? More of an option now?

Well, I went in to it ready to drive hard. I didn't flat foot shift at all on the track and I only almost spun out into the wall once, but I was pushing it pretty hard. I was behind a Boss 302 Mustang the whole time and he was putting up a pretty good pace. Looking back I probably should have turned down the boost. I probably didn't need 500WTQ. Lol.

I think what you have is the absolute darkest I'd ever go. I think you said it was 30%. Night driving wasn't "bad" but you definitely notice. No way I want 20% or darker now. I'd still like to ride in 50%. Everyone says it's a waste of money but it might be enough for me.

I put on the Tomei EL's recently and it quiets things down a bit. The motor is measurably faster on the top end. Definitely consider this piece.

It's a bit more of a pain for me because I have the GrimmSpeed EWG uppipe. So if I want to keep that I need a two bolt header. The main ones that cone to mind for those are Perrin, Invidia and Agency Power. Tomei, GTSpec and Agency Power all look like they come from the same factory. The Tomei is nice because it comes with more stuff. I'd probably just get the Agency Power one if it was priced more in line with the Tomei and GTSpec. For some reason the AP EL costs way more than it seems like it should. I don't understand why.

35% seemed pretty dark to me. I don't think over ever ridden in 50% though. Maybe I could do 50% up front and darker in back. Not sire I like that look though.
