Thumbs up AZP kicks @$$!!

Just had my upgraded springs, crank pulley, and steering rack bushings installed by AZP over the weekend. They offered 10% off if I installed them all together at the same time. Great deal, but I still give them back almost all 10% for all their hard work (and especially the hot weather they had to work through!). Worth every penny!

If you are in the Tri-State area and are in need of repairs, I can't say enough about frank, mike, and alex at AZP. sadly, since i am away from my wrx 9-10 months out of the year, it became neglected. my car was a mess when i brought it to them- clutch, trans, motor bucking and hesitation issues. they were kind enough to help make arrangements with me while in california to get my car repaired. they even offered to pick the car up on their trailer and tow it to their shop for me since it was not drivable at the time and i was not around.

the process of returning this car back to normal took a lot of time, and gave them a lot of headaches. AZP encountered a clutch/transmission nightmare, running into issues they had never seen before. I am confident any other shop would have given up, let my car sit at their shop for months, or charged me out the nose for repairs. this was not the case for AZP. Frank spent more time working on this car then he did at home. all repairs were done in a timely manner, with no short cuts. A++++ work and customer service. Any questions or concerns i had were immediately addressed and taken care of. if anything else should happen to my car, i know who i am calling, AZP!

Thanks Chris, your car is welcome to reside in the shop anytime you want or need it to!

Perhaps next time it'll be more of an upgrade than a repair visit

Figured I would bring this back to the top as it seems to be the official review thread and it's also the newest one I see.

I was just there Tuesday and yesterday while AZP did a full timing belt job on my FXT, including water pump, tensioner, pulleys, and cam seals.

Great bunch of guys, great work, and great pricing, and the car was ready when they said it would be. Plus, the extra communication from Mike (Paisan) throughout the day as the car was being worked on was both helpful and reassuring to a guy who rarely lets a shop touch his car (only twice now in 2.5 years). Thanks a lot guys I'll be seeing you again!

Smile azp installs

Azp installs just did my sways, endlinks, trans mount, short shifter, LCA bushings and steering rack bushings. They did a fast and amazing job at a very great price. On top of that there all cool peoples.

If your thinking about doing mods on your car and need somebody to install them, go to them. Its like having a friend work on your car, if that friend was a wizard with subies

NEW Subie owner here; I just picked up a 2004 WRX a few weeks ago. After reading the vendor reviews here and elsewhere I chose AZP as my first stop in the tri-state for a thorough once-over. Most of the consumables on the car were in poor shape and Rey performed a 60k service at my request to get all of the fluids at a known-good baseline.

AZP helped to prioritize the other stuff that needed to be done balanced with what I wanted to be done with the car. Adam (the service manager), Rey (tech), and Adam (tech) all discussed with me my options and provided a no-BS opinion of the car and clear guidance with where I should go with it. Mike (the bossman) shared his thoughts on everything from driving in the tri-state to the mods recommended to my car.

As this thread shows, AZP has earned great reviews over the past eight years and hopefully the trend will continue for the next eight!

Also: Their website lists prices for common parts and services. Not many shops are bold enough to have this kind of transparency. This took a lot of the mystery out of my hunt for a great shop.

Thanks to everyone @ AZP!

Had my wagon serviced yesterday at AZP. These guys are serious business. I was in early so there weren't many people around but Adam F and Adam were great and even though I didn't talk directly to Frank he was cool as hell. Great shop, I recommend it to everyone in the area. I came 30 miles from Queens and didn't regret it one bit.

They are a great group of guys and well versed in their trade. I had a VF 34 and supporting mods installed there and I am very happy with the result, both the workmanship and resulting power. Adam F and Mike were fantastic in assisting me with any questions I had. Frank was also very helpful, as well as the other Adam. I would highly recommend them if you live in the tri-state area.

Got my 1st oil change on the 2013 STi last night at the shop. Frank was efficient and knowledgeable with the work while Mike was very helpful and provided the laughs. Great shop and I'll definitely come through again!

Hi, all well I finally bit the bullet and set up a appointment to have my timing belt done(2006 impreza 2.5i@ 90,000 miles) but something kept bothering me with every one having head gasket issues on the 2.5i so I figure the hell with it and just told mike its not leaking, the car runs fine but I rather be safe then sorry,to my surprise I was told the engine had a small oil leak at the back of the head I maybe had another 30,000 miles before it would had been done, to me this was the best call I could have made. the car runs even better then before.i finally found a Subaru shop I can trust, I can leave them the car and I go and do other things or just stay there and watch t.v. or play video games, these guys are simpling the very best around keep up the good work fellas and thank you mike (looks really serious but his really a nice guy) and rey. these guys make you feel like your a long loosed friend that you just met again cool.

Well I can bring this thread back to life.

I was there for my first time last week. Simple work. Oil change and install my nameless axle back. Nice and quick work .

I was talking to I think it was Rey sitting in the office. Threw me some good advice on a direction to go to with my suspension. Seemed happy to answer everything I threw at him.

Some prices on the site look a little high to me but its all upfront and not a surprise and for a Subaru specialty shop I guess its good. I came from a 88 Ford mustang where you can take apart the car in a hour or two lol.

But anyways I will be going back there for some work in the future . they were quick. Pricing is right there. And if all they work is Subaru's mostly they will know everything about your car.

A+ so far

I took my 07 STI to AZP today to replace my clutch and flywheel. I chose an Exedy Stage 1 HD organic and a Competition Clutch lightened flywheel.

I emailed with Rey for the past few weeks. He answered all of my questions, gave me a few price quotes, and also gave me advice on future upgrades. He got back to me each time within a day, often just a few hours later.

I dropped off my car at 9 am this morning and picked it up the same day. The shop also gave me a ride to the nearest train station so I wouldn't have to wait all day (since my wife was working all day) and picked me up afterwards. Who else does that?

The clutch is extremely grabby. I stalled while backing up since I didn't realize how small the sweet spot is right now. Sucks while breaking it in for the next 500 miles or so.

Great shop! I wish I would've found them sooner! Definitely will be going back.

Thanks, guys. Keep up the good work and customer service (rare to find).

I took my car to AZP a few months back to get the headers and uppipe installed. I was very impressed by their customer service and attention to detail. Rey and Mike were prompt in replying to my emails. They use high quality grimmspeed gaskets and finished off the install with gasket maker on top of that.

Rey was running the shop the day I went in and we had a nice conversation. It's no surprise that many of his customers eventually became his personal friends. These guys actually take care of you!

Never got around to putting a review - but AZP did my stage 3 upgrade and the car has been running great for several months now. They also tracked down some niggling issues that had been plaguing the car and she's all buttoned up now and runs like a dream.

After a couple of experiences with AZP, I think I can finally back them and write a review. I've had my 60k service done, as well as an alignment and balancing done. Both experiences were exactly how I'd want them to go. Easy appt scheduling online/via email, the shop is in a great location with a comfortable waiting room. My car was taken in at my appointment time, and worked on quickly - but carefully. And the techs who've worked on my car answered any questions I had and I didn't feel rushed out of the conversation so he could get to his next car. Overall, my experience was excellent and I feel like AZP is a trustworthy place to bring my car for service. Absolutely will return.

I went in for an alignment after having had my clutch replaced by them a few months ago before they got the alignment equipment. They set up the machine and showed me that all wheels were within spec and there was no need for adjustment. No charge. Stand up guys over there. Can't go wrong.
