Not in the Rammstein area but we could always have meets if we get enough people. A few of us have a meet starting up on the 9th on July at the Nurburgring. It's about a 45 minute drive for you.... 3 hour for us! We should meet up then.

I am headed to Ramstein next year and I am planning on bringing a stage II WRX STI. I was planning on doing stage II before heading to Ramstein, but I am a bit worried that may cause problems. Has anyone brought a WRX/STI to Ramstein with a turboback? If so, how did it go with safety/emissions inspections? Should I just leave it stock until I get there? (I really dont want to do this)

I brought my stage 2 over here and had aCobb DP, just keep the stock swap it out when you do your emissions that's what we all do

So it will have to pass emissions then? Will I be able to drive it home, in stage II form, and then swap it? Or will I be expected for it to pass before I drive it anywhere?

I am trying to figure out if I am better off keeping it bone stock until I pass emissions or if I will be fine just swapping it when I get there.

Also, do they care about aftermarket catbacks being louder than stock?

Will a catted DP, like the Cobb DP, still fail emissions and require a swap back?

Anything that has a cat on it will pass I had the Cobb one on and passed with flying colors, yeah there is a decibel I'm not sure what it is. BUT! I hear there is a guy in Baumholder there is a guy there will pass you and tell you your gonna get a ticket if your fine with that, so a lot of people go there too

I'm the guy with the OBP STi. I bought my car from a guy stationed in baumholder so it got inspected there. It was catless and loud and they didn't really care. You can only get it inspected there if you're stationed there. Everyone else goes to kapaun. On that note, I'll need a catted DP before May, ha.

Awesome! So, cobb catted DP should be just fine for emissions. I just have to worry about how loud it is. Worst case scenario I swap back to the stock exhaust, but keep the aftermarket DP on?

Can I pass inspection with just having a high-flow cat on my downpipe? I've heard mixed things about that.

Yeah shouldn't be a problem as long as your exhaust is not over 95 db
