Default EJ257 swap questions: wiring & subframe

Doing a ej257 swap on my saab 92x 2.5i

I got the ECU immobilizer + keys

The Ej257 I am looking to buy has the Engine harness, and i found a dash harness at a junk yard for $30.

Is the engine + dash harness enough, in junction with my stock 2.5i harness? (Splice everything together)

Do i need a 04-07 STi front subframe for the swap?

Thanks

You'll need a GD turbo crossmember that has the same steering rack mounting as your car. They changed around 05 on the STI, not sure about the WRX.

The only thing swap related you'll be missing outside the engine and dash harness is the wires going back to the fuel tank and the fuel pump controller mounted in the trunk of the car. You'll have to get the controller with it's connector and a wire pigtail. That can be wired into the dash harness and then splice into the SAABs OEM wires going back to the pump or just run new wires. You'll definitely need an upgraded pump too.

The Saab should already have the new style mounting points, IIRC they actually got them before the WRX did.

Thanks for the reply!

What about subframe? Will the exhaust clear (i'm doing a full custom exhaust anyway).
