Default Mt Philo Hillclimb (2012) in Vermont

Camping spots will be updated on the SCCV forums only. You can request here or via e-mail to SCCVermont@aol.com

New England Hillclimb Association (NEHA)

The Sports Car Club of Vermont (http://www.SCCV.org) and Kales Custom (http://kalescustom.com) is pleased to present the Mt. Philo hillclimb in Charlotte, Vermont on October 12-13-14, 2012

Registration is online: Motorsport Registration

Event information and the link to online registration is HERE. You do not need to complete the paper version of the entry form unless you are unable to register online via MotorsportsReg. (we will have driver waivers at the event). Make sure to read all the details in the entry/info packet (nothing has changed from 2011).

A typical Philo event is to have a lot more runs than the timing computer can handle as we are able to run a continuous loop up and down the hill; one year someone got close to 20. Since an event can only be successful because of the hard work and dedication of our workers, please bring friends, family, signification others, enemies, etc. to help staff this fun event.

Lunches are included in the entry fee and is free to workers. Lunch is provided by Dave again this year. (yum!) He also makes breakfast sandwiches, but this is not included in the entry; please make sure to make a donation to Dave if grabbing a breakfast sandwich.

We will try to put together another Saturday night tour... either RPM or VTsportscar (contacted VTSC) this year.

Questions should be directed to Steve at SCCVermont@aol.com or Nick at njwheelock@gmail.com

I would love to do this, I've been itching to get into some Hill climbs this season, plus VT must be beautiful mid Oct with all the leaves turning.

Good hill to start on as it is easier to memorize than the longer ones. Quite smooth.
Make sure you have an ABC fire ext with an all metal bracket mounted within reach of the driver, and an SA2005 or newer helmet. Subie folks tend to take a piece of flat bar stock and bolt the bar to the front two seat bolts of the passenger seat and mount the fire ext mount on that bar. Makes it easy to remove when you aren't racing.

If you are camping at the site make sure Rabbit Farmer knows as there are limited spots. If you think you'll want a hotel, don't wait to make a reservation as the hotels fill quickly for leaf peeping season.

I can not begin to express how much fun hillclimbing is and especially this hill.

Weather seems to be shaping up. Hope to see some of you there, especially anyone running a 2.0 liter.
