Default cusco parts

Hey guys, new to the wrx scene. Its my first subaru and absolutely love my car. So ill get this out of the way (flame on) been looking for part for my car 2012 wrx limited sedan and some webpages ask for what type/model of car it is, its a 3 letter/number code. I'm sure its easy but i have been googleing and seaching the forums to figure this out and cant find anything. Maybe im just calling it something wrong when i seach.

So for right now I'm looking to beef up the suspension a little, have been looking at cusco parts, sway bars front/rear with kartboy endlinks and strut tower bars front/rear. Is cusco a good brand? I've been searching this forum, wrxtuners, and iwsti for any reviews or info on them and havent seen much or anyone using them.

Thanks guys/girls and any help would be appreciated

Cusco is a good brand, I've had their swaybars in the past with a 02 WRX.

Though these days whiteline and a few other companies have basically done a better job at penetrating US sales.

Kartboy still makes some of the best endlinks on the market to date.

Cusco makes quality parts for sure. I recently installed a power steering rack brace, and a front lower "H" brace. Parts fit perfectly.

BTW, don't waste your money on upper strut tower braces.

I've had Cusco chassis braces on my MR-S as well as US made and Taiwan/Chinese made. The Cusco parts had better fitment and were much simpler in design. They were made of steel whereas the Taiwan/Chinese knock offs were of some sort of lighter material. The US made parts were much heavier and had the over-engineered feeling. I bet the Cusco sways are not going to be as thick as other non-JDM aftermarket parts, but that may give you more flexibility in terms of the type of driving you want to do.

I've had clearance issues with Kartboy endlinks - on multiple front sways on my STi. I'm back on stock endlinks.

EDIT: ONLY fitment issues on front bar with Kartboy's rear is fine.

I'd be interested which sway bars you had problems with running Kartboy end links.

I currently have Perrin adj. front & rear sway bars, and have had zero issues with the Kartboys end links.

A few people have had issues with Kartboy end links and Whiteline front sway bars. There are a couple of threads here about the issues with pics. I personally am running a front Whiteline bar with Kartboy end links with no issues.

Edited my original post - I only had fitment issues with a front bar. Both RCE and Whiteline bars in the front.

In the pic above - my issue was always the sway bar would impact the nut on the lower bolt on the endlink when the suspension would droop. It would happen on extreme auto-x corners or whenever I jacked up the car it rammed the bar into that bolt. I was running no spacers and even tried taking the washers off to improve clearance - still wasn't enough. Think I've got pics - got to dig them up.

Stock endlinks have been fine.

Why do you say upper strut tower bars are a waste, just curious.

For sway bars I was looking at 23mm front and 20mm in the rear. Are these good sizes or should I get closer to matching sizes?

those are good sizes.

no STB because the strut towers are very close to the firewall which helps too keep it from defecting.
