But seriously I would want my gf to just respect my passion for these cars. I think its awesome when some girls know basic info and little details here and there. But for her to be like one of the dudes I think is odd for me and I would like to date a woman not a man but that is my opinion.

I hear ya 1million percent about the respect factor. I've had my car since this june. And i dont even think she said congrats to me when i bought it. Probably because she knew what me getting a WRX would eventually lead too lol.
I think the thing that turned her off about cars and tuning was 10years ago in highschool having a lot of friends that all had hondas with coffee cans as exhaust and intake. And would race around everywhere. I guess i'd be turned off too.
I think the only thing that will save me gettin her back into it. Is pushing her to get the Dodge Dart Rallye, which is among her first choice right now. And then she'll see too, how much fun adding to the car can be.

I sort of agree with saying "being one of the dudes can be odd". She likes cars alil bit, but when i start going on about mine or someone elses i can see her face turing towards the "ohh here we go" look. lol Which is fine
But she loves sports as much, and some if not more than me. I find that being awesome. I mean hell. Half the time we go out, were going to Phillies games or Flyers games. I wouldnt have it any other way.

That's because us guys use reason and logic to explain ourselves hoping to end the argument. Women don't care about that and just want you to listen and acknowledge their feelings. Just say "I understand" and "I know how you feel" hehe.
