Hi all! I'm pretty new to open source tuning and I have a few questions.
I perchest a new tactrix 2.0 cable and want to start learning. I have an 02 wrx With a V8 swap. I really want to get rid of the speed limiter on the v8 ecu. It cuts out at about 190kph(118mph) I also want to delete the rear O2 sensor. The CEL came on the other day and the sensor is no good. I have looked on here and goole for some straight answer on how to do that with the tactrix cable but No success. I have all the programs downloaded that are needed to flash My ecu.

Open ECUFlash, download the current ROM, open it, turn off the CELs, save it, flash it back to the ECU.
Is there anything specific you have a question about? The process is very straight forward. |

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. As I'm also new to tuning.
But if you open your .hex file in RomRaider, You can expand the Diagnostic Trouble Codes folder and inside there is all CEL's. Just highlight and disable. As for the speed limiter, its just under the limiter folder > Speed Limiter. |

I want to delete the rear O2 sensor completely, not just turn the light off.

Well everyone keeps telling me that when I have my car tuned there just going to delete it anyways. I have read up on it and I get mixed results. People say it does nothing and others say it does.

In newer cars like mine, you still use it for A/F adjustments. Yours might not though.

Well if that is the case I will buy a new o2 sensor and clear the light.
