You think that wasn't intentional? Pure coincidence about the Davy Jones thing, obviously, but I'm 100% certain the writers intended that joke. That's one of three things that keep me watching the show - the subtlety of the humor, plus Sofia Vergara's cans.

When I figured out the girls were crying at the Animal Adoption commercial I fell off my couch.

"Three legs, it's just not fair!"

So TV daughter Sarah Hyland was revealed to just had a kidney transplant at the age of 21, turns out she had chronic kidney disease since age 9, who knew? (father was donor btw)

Sarah Hyland Kidney Transplant: 'Modern Family' Star Reveals Condition In Seventeen Magazine

arah Hyland may play a typical teenager on the hit ABC show "Modern Family," but in reality the 21-year-old has been dealing with a health condition that required her to have a kidney transplant.

Hyland reveals in the June/July issue of Seventeen that she's been coping with a lifelong condition known as kidney dysplasia, which is when one or both kidneys do not develop normally during the fetal period. Hyland underwent a kidney transplant in early April -- she was given a kidney by her father -- and she says the entire experience has helped her realize who in her life will always be there for her.

"You know that family is going to be there for you no matter what," she said."My dad gave me a freakin' kidney! But it's also the families that you create outside of your family. And you really find out what kind of people you're friends with. It was just amazing, and it really opened my eyes to see who's there for me and who's not."

Hyland also added that her boyfriend, actor Matt Prokop, has been there for her every step of the way.

"He helps me with my medication and takes me to doctor appointments and all the stuff that I need to do to take care of myself," she said. "Any other 21-year-old guy would not be there, I guarantee it. I am one of the luckiest people in the world to have him be there for me."

^ it was and it had some good moments. The stuffed animals on top of the car and the cat adoption scene was probably the biggest laugh. And always Phil's hots for Gloria.

Solid premiere, not great, but good, IMO.

"What happened to your face?"
"Stupid Larry"

But... no stairs joke / reference, and the setup when Ty came downstairs to show Claire his pedo-beard/stache combo then went back upstairs was perfect. I was surprised at that.

Oops! Sofia Vergara shares Emmy wardrobe malfunction

3:40PM EST September 24. 2012 - No doubt you saw the lovely Sofia Vergara sashaying down the Emmy red carpet in her form-fitting mermaid-like Zuhair Murad dress.

Gallery: :2012 Emmy Awards Red Carpet

But did you see what the Modern Family star shared about a wardrobe malfunction she had during Sunday night's show?

Vergara tweeted a photo of the back of her dress busted open -- and revealing her thong-baring backside. "Yes!!!! This happend 20 min before we won!!!! Jajajajja. I luv my life!!!!" she noted.

Backstage after Modern Family won for best comedy series, Vergara was in good spirits and didn't mention the mishap, reports USA TODAY's Marco della Cava. "Even though Julie keeps winning all my awards I'm still very happy," said Vergara.

And of her dress she said, "I love it because it's very sexy."

Pretty sure a search would show that I was the first to bring up Ariel Winter in OT...front of the bus to hell for me, although I always preferred the back of the bus...
