Thanks! I've done a lot more jumping this year than previously and figured I should just get a bike built for it. The Enduro is still a really good bike though.

Been off the bike pretty much for the past 2-3 months due to projects and travels.
Going to scope out Steven's for the 1st time this weekend. Let's hope I spend more time on top of my bike than under it .

Anyone ride it recently? Loose and dusty and/or ruts? I'm assuming it's been dry?

Looking to get out riding on Saturday if anyone's going.

It's dry and dusty, but they have kept it fairly smooth. It wasnt too rutty a few weeks ago.

We are going to be up there on Sunday!

I don't agree. Was up there Sunday and there's braking bumps everywhere. They really need a greenline for rookies to drag their brakes down.

1st time up and had a blast today!
I thought it was buff considering how dry it's been.
But my view is skewed since we are sort of used to that sort of riding on our side of the state.

Default Black Diamond

I have been riding Black Diamond lately, there are some really nice trails up in them hills.

With the summit hill freeride park right there as well it is a pretty complete package.

Nothing brutal just lots of good technical trail, just like I like it.

Side note: I crashed pretty bad at Soaring Eagle. Sad sad sad. I regard SE as a beginners ride and I have done it a gad zillion times. This time I decided to leave my pads / armor in the trunk because it was "only" soaring eagle... Sure enough I was hitting the new bridge they built at speed and the front tire washed a bit to much when I hit the lip. Neary broke my arm smacking into the side of the small bridge, and totally crushed my ego. Suffice it to say I will wear my armor next time.

I see folks riding all the time wearing nothing but gloes and a peanut. I ride with a full face and leg/arm pads. I went to a full face after my second face in the dirt crash at duthie. Either I suck or they don't ride as aggressively. I have some kind of fall almost every ride. Haha well either way I have fun

Man, that lift service really does change your riding.
My buddies that hit whistler regularly talked it up to me before.
But seriously, one short afternoon at Steven's on limited run really did change how I look at/ride lines.
It totally translates to some of the trail riding I've been doing out here. Corners are more balanced/smoother/faster, breaking points improved etc...
I'll def be hitting Stevens and hopefully T-Line next season.

Yeahhh if you even liked Stevens a tad, it's NOTHING compared to Whistler... I still dream about when I went last year. It was the most beautiful place I had ever been along with the most amazing riding I have ever done.

I'm beat. We had some moisture out here in the wastelands. So I had to take advantage of it and spent the day repairing our trails.
Rode about 12 miles with a mecloud and shovel strapped to my pack.
Some day it would be nice to have collapsible tools...

How do you guys bring in tools to places not vehicle accessible? Anyone come up with better/safer techniques?

The wife, dogs and I had a great ride today on the Lost Lake trail network here in Whistler. It was only ~ 35* and drizzling snow but we had an absolute blast. It was only her 3rd time riding single track but she was killing it, riding the slick wood bridges, dropping off little rocks and making her way through the techy stuff. Awesome.

That was one of the last ones we came down. Also rode the torture never stops, fountain of love, donkey punch and dyna moe hum.

Some of the steep granite faces on PF were slick as hell today.

Buddy and I went out today to take advantage of the moisture out here in the waste lands to repair some corners. A bit slick but right now but it dries out really quick out here. There is going to be a lot of trail building/repair before the ground freezes up too much.
