Yeah. But there were no other front tower struts available at that time besides on eBay. It seems to work great otherwise but then again front tower struts don't make that big of a difference (before and after installation).

The ebay ones looks very close to the Subaru offering so I would go with that for the money. 230 is steep but it is OEM and the Cusco was 200 and I am pretty happy with it. If the 4G WRX is based on the current 4G Impreza platform I may be able to use the Cusco on it.

they look close because how many ways do you think you can make a strut tower bar? its a bar between two strut towers. i mean it is just like saying, it looks exactly like the (insert any brand) strut tower bar for the civic. im pretty sure they work just about the same.

I was asking about the "i" badge, not about changing the color of the existing subaru logo badge. thats not a bad idea tho.

As for ebay parts, id rather have the cusco strut but if the price was that much cheaper i wouldnt be against bolt-on ebay parts. Tho im sure most people feel this way.

Has anyone heard anything about exhaust systems?

Could I retrofit an old cat-back system on to ours? or does the piping diameter have to match up? Will there be any Engine issues?

Nice! I'm looking forward to what you come up with. UEL headers and axleback exhaust...?

Bingo. Headers (UEL for rumble and a performance version), cat delete pipe, catback, axleback etc.

reading on this forum, you will find that UEL headers loser power over EL. everything else would be awesome though

That's correct, the rumble you get from unequal length headers is the sound of inefficiency. It has to do with the exhaust pulses. That is why they make EL headers. The aftermarket UEL headers sometimes have a different size diameter piping which can lead to better flow over the stock headers.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't change to EL headers and loose the rumble. I'll be damned if my car sounds like an EVO.

I know they won't be cheap but I'd sacrifice a bit of performance for the sweet rumble.

quite certain, if you remove the muffler=rumble but drone.

Bottom line is, a strut tower bar is so simple, so would all function and look the same. So my choice was a good choice.

I did the muffler delete but it doesn't quite sound like a proper rumble and yes there is plenty of drone. If I'm not mistaken our cars currently have el headers and what Rallisport will offer are the uel headers thus providing the boxer rumble. There and some 2.5 imprezas on you tube that have his headers and they sound great.

well, depends. they are simple yes. but you could also have complex ones. multi-point attachments (instead of normally two), or solid on piece and even the metal they are made from. but so far and STB options goes for cars, i would get an ebay one too. same basic design and cost less.

our cars do have EL header. rallisport offered UEL header in previous cars but who is to say they will? i think he was only mentioning axebacks or cat-backs in other threads.

No we don't have EL headers in our cars. A true EL header would not sound like that.

I read that the performance loss resulting from UEL headers headers is negligible. How much would a set run for?

They are more EL then UEL but just enough UEL to give a hint of rumble with a muffler delete. True UEL headers would amplify the rumble by further off-setting the exhaust pulses.
