Hey everyone new to the Subaru scene. Waiting on my 13 sport to land, but have been looking for aftermarket bolt ons, exhaust, cold air, programmer to possibly increase efficiency and mileage. I haven't been very lucky. Anyone know where to look?

Ok, with a current 85 views and not a single reply, I just feel bad for ya, so I'll say something. This question gets asked about once a month, the frequency of which will slowly increase as more are sold.
I (RalliSport Racing) was days away from buying a 2012 or 2013 Impreza 2.0i so I could sink my teeth into it for R&D. Then I found out that all 2013+ will be saddled with the PZEV version engine. That made my heart sink. I doubt many new 2.0i owners would be excited to take off their factory header (which has an integrated cat warrantied for 150k/15 years) and replace it with a $600 header that will surely trigger a cel. So, I'll just revert back to my original plan to buy a 08-11 2.5i for new product development. Sorry |

Perrin has a foam air filter element (which I put in) and a lightweight crankshaft pulley for FA/FB20 motor but I have not heard anything back from them regarding performance or CEL issues in our Impreza so until then, no pulley for me. No one has come out with our model specific axleback or catback exhaust yet although a few guys here had custom ones fabricated with off the shelf brand mufflers. As far as custom air intakes are concerned the only viable mod for our MAF sensored cars is the 'Hybrid' which replaces the plastic tubing from the MAF sensor into the intake manifold. You can hack up an existing CAI kit for the tubing/hoses/couplers/hardware and make it work as a few guys have done it. That is pretty much it in a nutshell. I am waiting for a catback exhaust to come out so I can get some of the boxer engine rumble out. Not much you can do with bolt-ons for the NA engines. I would tighten the suspension up, and put some lighter rims on the car to make it more fun to drive in the turns...

Focus on the suspension and handling until they come out with aftermarket performance parts.

Owners of the FB20 engine like myself would appreciate any and all potential mods to our cars and tuners would be foolish not to tap into this market segment since this car is selling like hotcakes. If I lived near Nameless Performance I would gladly leave them my car for measurements and prototyping for an exhaust system. Our cars have to take backseat to the BRZ/FRS for now...

Agreed, but with the growing pool of owners for the 4G Impreza, there is still a decent number of these owners who are enthusiasts as we are seeing here. The first cars arrived at our shores last November so it hasn't been a year since the new Impreza has been on sale. You would foolish as a business not to consider doing aftermarket products for it.
