Yepp that's the plan. I was looking into the chrome exhaust trim for the STi's but they're charging something like $170 for a pair Still in the planning stages

Lucky for me, they are fairly close by. (about an hour drive and only a couple miles from my parents' house)
The dealer I bought my car from says they'll price match any dealer, but I'm sure they hate having to match them. If they don't match, well, I can just pick it up when I see my parents next week.

I understand they are one of the biggest volume Subaru Dealers in North America, and I've heard only good things from them. When I lived in Colorado Springs, and the STi first came out, I went to test drive one at Heuberger. The sales person brought me to a deserted dirt road and just said "go". That was probably the most fun test drive I've ever had, too bad my financials weren't in line, even for a base 2.5 at the time. I almost ordered my '12 from them too, but the dealer up here was able to get the same deal Heuberger offered over the phone.

Wow that's awesome, I remember reading that they would offer airfare (one-way and a hotel possibly?) if you're from out of town and bought a car from them.

Any updates italia? I got a hold of an' 08 STi axleback but giving up on that project. Low on funds to make the exhaust fit properly. It's on the market if youre interested!

Only updates are the vinyl and reverse projector led lights. I have dome exterior mods planned, custom rear roof spoiler...which will most likely happen at the beginning of the year. As for the exhaust I'm still on the fence. I really like your idea and most likely will go that route. I really want the headers from Ralli Sport so that may happen first. What are asking for on the axleback?

Ez lip is what you guys are looking for. Cheap and easy to put on. 3M tape is alrw ady on there. Those guys hooked me up majorly. Good seller. Check it out. Ill post pics of my install after my new bumper gets put on. Thank you ford ranger and your negligence

so i bought it recently and its nice (thicker than the home depot garage stuff) but its the same thing. install went ok except the 3m on the top edges wont stick, so i just emailed them hoping they will send me a new one because stupid 3m just started to peel even after cleaning the damn surface a bunch of times to make sure it was clean.

hopefully they will reply with a new one because it is an overpriced garage door trim if you asked me. somehow they got the 3m to stick to the trim (i think italia said that he couldnt get the 3m to stick on to the garage door trim).

This is a doable mod if you are interested in removing the sport rails and replacing them with regular roof trim. There is a considerable difference in the sport trim vs non sport roof design. If you have a sport model and are wanting to switch the rails you will have to drill 3 additional holes on either side towards the back of the car for the retaining clips and the two holes on either side that were already there will have to be plugged up. How they are plugged is entirely up to you. I will not recommend one method over another.
