I purchased some morettes headlights for my wrx a while back and I needed a custom hardness, they wanna to charge me $500!! That made me pretty upset and made me not wanna go there ever again !! I had my lights hooked up for $50 from a friends friend!! Not being cheap but $500 is more than the lights cost lol

Ditch the AP and have one of the local shops tune it. Wicked Innovation is just over the line in RI and well worth the drive.

Custom maps from a tuner can be put on the AP either way a tuner is gonna tune it with not a drastic change in numbers

I'd like to see a pic of that harness. Is it a nice professional looking intermediate harness plugging into the supplied connectors or is it a hack job of cut and wire crimp. At a shop rate of $100 an hour, that leaves pretty much no budget left for materials. How long did it take your buddies to build this?

This. You can sell that for close to 400 and pay for a tune.

Not saying that the AP is worthless, just not necessary for your average driver. And I did have one when I first bought my car, so I'm not just talking out my rear end.
