What is the offset on ur rims? I'm lookin at the rota dpt and I guess they come in 35 and 42 offsets and I would like to know how different the handling would be but don't have much experience with that

Mine are +42. The difference between +35 and +42 is going to be very difficult to notice for most people. Unless the wheel widths are much different, then it could compound with the offset and make it noticeable.

If only it was easier to find 275 series tires in 17" diameter...But I do like the Mach V wheels. They're lighter than most other 9" wide wheels (especially 18's), and not that expensive. Yes, light is a big one. I don't really have any video that is very exciting, but I might have to send you a clip sometime to see what you can do. |

Yeah, RPF1's seem like the only "big" ones that are as light or lighter than what I have, and don't cost a lot. I didn't really like the look, but it's kind of grown on me. I don't really mind that style, but the good sizes in 5x100 are always special order or group buy.

Ok cool just cuz I read that sticking as close to original offset as possible is good and I guess outs was 53 so I thought 35 is kind of crazy but I want A 17x9 that looks nice

Finally got some new mounts. More info to come once I get them in and get some miles on them. They're the Cusco motor and tranny mounts and the Kartboy pitch stop mount.

Those cusco mounts are hardcore, you'll love the feel but they add a LOT of NVH.

I can't get over that tranny mount, looks like you might as well connect it directly to your spine. I have the pitch stop and it only makes the starter noisier, other than that I don't notice any increased NVH. Are you going to install them all at one time, or step-wise so you can get a feel for the difference each makes? Regardless, looking forward to your impressions.

The Cusco mounts all use some type of rubber bushing around a bolt. They don't appear to be anything too crazy, from what I can tell. Definitely a far cry from a solid billet mount. From the looks of it, I would guess they're less stiff than the polyurethane bushing in the Kartboy mount.
But I guess from what I've read online, the Cusco's are very, very stiff, so maybe I don't know what I'm getting into. I'll install them all at the same time. But I can swap back to stock if I want to experiment. The motor mounts are the only ones that are time consuming to install. The pitch stop is literally 5 minutes and the tranny one is probably only 10 minutes after the car is on stands. |

Do you think the Cusco is going to be significantly stiffer than an sti group n mount?

Even with a lift, the engine mounts require a lot more work to swap out. Many other items need to be removed/disconnected, the motor must be lifted, and even then access is difficult. The other two mounts are basically there for the unbolting without much of any work.
The Group N tranny mount is basically just an OEM mount that is filled in with rubber. I had already done this with my stock mount using 3M window weld (durometer of ~60). It didn't really make any difference from what I could tell. I expect the Cusco mounts will be a pretty noticeable change. |

Thanks.
So for a basic stage 2 daily driver, no track time, no plans for bigger power, would your opinion be that the group n would be sufficient? I know stiffer = increased NVH, but I've been really pleased with the other things I've changed to tighten the car up. I'd pretty much decided on the group n, and from what I've read people seem happy with them. Opinions appreciated. |

Yeah, for most people with moderate amounts of power and no track time, they will probably be a good match. I think the Group N Pitch Stop is identical to stock though.

Where did you get that mount? Didn't know Cusco makes a 5 speed mount for 11 WRX.
