sorry, should have been more specific.
Looking where to mount the tank, where the meth goes. Hatch style is kinda weird in the back. There's no flat surface to mount it onto. |

I will get you pics today of my placement. ya the 08's are a pain for tank location. I am looking for a flat 2G tank to sit in the spare tire well with my pump.

Don't do this, it should be placed as close to the throttle body as possible, in the coupler if possible, that way if you want to sell your top mount you can later at a good price. but if you place it further away the atomized droplets will clump together and cause you meth to be less effective |

or put the pump here and just drill out a Heineken mini keg can as the tank. That shouldn't take up too much space. |

You can get pretty creative with installs but its an individuals ingenuity that makes thing work or not with hiding things or in making something look like it belongs versus looking like it was slapped or just added on as an afterthought.
If you want to hide things for instance, like the lines, you can install nylon sheathing over the lines and use heat shrink tubing. The same stuff is used by the OEM's on harnesses and hoses. The sky is the limit and most of what can be potentially be done is up to the user. Kits as sold leave open many options of what can be done with some thinking. Most kit makers want pump and tank installed in the trunk to help protect the components. How you mount these to the body can be as fancy just simple bolting them down as is to the use of aluminum stock found at Lowes or Home Depot to make brackets to going with something like a setup from Howerton. As a basic guide for background info, use plastic tanks, taller but yet have sufficient total volume is better then shorter and more squat. Have the pump inlet lower then the tank outlet supply fitting in the tank and try to avoid any sharp turns in the lines. Mount the tank so that its easy to fill and easy remove. Mount the pump so it has some room around it = do not pack it into a spot that causes problems with service or kinked lines. |

I'm also installing the arm meth, And I do not want to install it in the rear. I have an 08 hatch and I'm concern about the fumes that meth can produce inside the car! So I installed the tank infront of the washer tank. And the pump also in the same spot. Very thin is properly secure! The only bad thing is that I have to remove my bumper to fill up the meth tank and that sucks! Now I'm trying to find ideas for a neck to add to the tank. I will up load pics tonight!

To fill the tank up I was gono have to take the bumper out ( I did t mind since it takes 2 minutes) But I got a smaller battery and now all I have to do is move it to the side And I can fill up! Wondering if anyone has any trunk mounted tanks in a GR chassis STi or WRX? Really not trying to mount it in the front bumper but haven't seen all that many other solutions.

Quierototolive, do you find that with this 'behind the bumper' installation that the pump is adequately protected from the elements? It doesn't get wet from road slop, does it?
I also don't want to put the tank in the back of my hatchback, but there are few options (no space) for a complete 'under the hood' installation. Is this working out okay for you? Did you conisder and reject using the windshild washer fluid tank (1.0 gal) for your meth/water solution? If so, why? Thanks for any input.................... Frank |

Hello! Sorry for the late response! I checked last night and where I installed the pump its a good place! It was clean no debris from the weather and everything also seem to be in the correct proper place. (Note; remember I have my fender liner so that covers everything well). I was able to connect everything under the good the pump and tank! Then I ran all my wires to the right side of the car in to the cabin ( that is a little pain in the a..) which is the reason I haven't finish my wiring; I still need to connect the little controller box for the kit. Im thinking I'm goin to install it inside the glove compartment ( will post pics when done). As far as the stock washer tank, I did reject using my washer tank as my meth tank jus for the fact the I use my windshield washer a lot. (Meth will be use more and it is more expensive than washer fluid) And also for warranties purposes! This might sound stupid but I'm trying to keep my car as close to stock as possible! Just so I can cover it under warranties if need it! |

Thank-you so much for your help, Quierototolive and Rube23. I appreciate your efforts on my behalf.
And you've convinced me that this is the way I want to go with my hatchback. I presume that under the bumper cover, behind the headlight, there is sufficient and suitable structure into which holes can be drilled and the pump bolted? Again, thanks.................... Frank |

I have 99, but I have the same in bumper placement. My battery is moved to the trunk for space.
