Default FrankenMotor myths/truths help?

so theres alot of threads on here.. but so many get off topic and i cant find the right answer.

i drive a ej251 subaru 00 legacy gt wagon bh b4.
ive read swapping heads isnt a good idea?.
but then in others, i read swapping ej22 heads, and having the dual port exhaust manifold is actually fairly well for a quick cheap N/A power gain, true or false?.
also, Phase I ej22 have the dual ports? or phase II?
another one, does it matter if the motor is an interference / non-interference ej22?
id like to do this swap, but really need to weed out the BS.
i understand that the compression is increased. just help me out please. or direct me to helpful reads/threads.
thanks.

If your car is already a 2.5, then focus on things like cams, phenolic spacers, etc. The frankenmotor is great for us 2.2 guys, but bastardizing a 2.5 for the bump in CR is not worthwhile.

Thank you. Nice and easy. Now for phelonic spacers, what benefit does that yield?
And would swapping.out for a ej253 block lower my compression as well as having a semi closed block allow me a moderate boost setup, (6-10psi).
