New Signing, brazilian midfielder Tiago Ulisses. should be a good addition for depth defensively.

With O'Brien, some good depth signings. We were getting a bit thin the past couple of weeks with injuries.

i think O-Brien will push Bonjour hard for the starting spot.

Ulisses should be great in the holding midfielder role.

Now if the caps could score some damned goals....

Good to see Camilo hitting the back of the net again.

I gotta say though, Mattocks has to make better runs. Too often I see him standing around seemingly waiting for the ball to come to him. I guess it will all come with experience though.

Brutal reffing tonight, but the boys looked too tentative to pull the trigger too. Was entertaining for my first live Caps game though.

so between the game you saw, james, and last night, the whitecaps were winless.

last night they changed that.

5 points up on Dallas for the final playoff spot.

also important to note, toronto is still the worst team in the league.

Last night was my first MLS game. I'd been to a game earlier in the year but it was against Edmonton for Concacaf (sp?). I picked a good game to go to! Had a blast.

You only need to know "You fat bastard!" on opposing goalie kicks.

dear gods george there are enough ****ing flags... there's about 5 billion on the field before the game starts....

and most, (er, some people,( the ones not running back and forth for overpriced pissbeer and food) well I) outside of the southsiders section actually came to see the game, not flags obscuring it...

I promote responsible flag waving... defiantly do not wave your flag during play. Go mental after they score and when the players enter and exit the field.

So congrats to portland on winning the cascadia cup!

Also, thanks seattle for demolishing dallas, so the whitecaps get a playoff date with LA!

First canadian mls team to reach the playoffs!

Not an ideal way to make it into the playoffs, but hey, I'll take it.

Tee hee.

There was a CBC news camera right in my face as they cut my hair yesterday, I really hope I didn't make any sort of highlight reel.

Oh what's that? It's game day??

We'll see a relaxed second string today for sure, but it would be nice to squeak out a win!
