Figured out that the tapping sound my car was making at throttle tip was my cobb 3 port solenoid. Guess it makes that sound when it's cold
What a relief I just knew I had messed up my valve train |

swapped stock brake pads for Hawk hps, bleed the fluid, and did some custom zip-tie stiching to the front bumper tears. After bedding in the brakes and letting them cool down, they definitely lock the wheel up much quicker!

Filled up with e-85 after driving into Lubbock. Washed the car and detailed the wheels. Also found that discount tire had put the tread on the wrong way when they put a plug in it several thousand miles back! Fixed now, but hoping my diffs don't die an early death because of this.

I got them on sale from Fred Beans I believe (coupled the order to make it worth the shipping). To be honest, I haven't tracked them yet, and that is the major reason I finally installed them (had them for over a year, and the stock brakes just last forever...). I can't say about heat fade once they're on course, but they honestly seem to grab more quickly.
I needed new brakes at the time, but the dealership replaced stockers for free so I held off on the install. I'll give you an update once they have been put to the test ![]() They don't squeal like harder pads though, so for street use they are great so far. Longevity will be something to ask a member who has used them for awhile though. |
