Default 1993 Subaru Legacy EJ22T Long Block Complete

Fully closed-deck block, forged rods and crank, piston squirters, etc. Complete running engine.

I removed this complete engine from my 1993 Subaru Legacy Sport 5MT in order to custom build it for use in my Impreza GC. I have since changed my build plans and will not be using this engine and the Legacy chassis has already been sold.

Nothing wrong with engine, was running perfectly with no leaks prior to removal. Approximately ~150K miles on the engine. Currently on a pallet in my garage.

Would like to get ~$650 for engine + shipping. Please let me know. Thanks.

If for some reason the attached images are not loading, I have plenty of pictures, just ask.

I have been quoted anywhere between $525 and $600 for freight shipping.

You are always welcome to source your own shipper. The engine is in my garage, so you just need to figure out how to ship it to you.

Putting this engine in your 93 Impreza would be pretty sweet

Does the ej22t need the computer out of the ss to run? and does the year of ss matter?

free bump, glws. ^ yes you will need the SS ecu to run it. I believe they vary between pre and post facelift but not positive on that. Easy to find in classifieds though for pretty cheap.

Sorry Yeliyayue, apparently my phone app did not post my reply to you.

It depends on what you are trying to do with the engine:

1) If you are swapping it with an engine out of a Legacy Sport Turbo, then you can re-use the same ECU. This engine came out of an OBD-I Legacy.

2) If you are using the block with existing heads out of any model, such as a 2003 WRX, then you shouldn't have a problem.

3) If you are using the block in a custom engine build, then a standalone ECU would be required.

I hope that answers your questions.
