Default Custom (Stationary) Tool Box

I really wanted to have a small toolbox on me at all times to hold supplies...ie(cleaning supplies, jumper cables, extra bulbs, weed..etc)

But no matter what I did, it kept sliding around when I was taking corners and pretending I'm a race care driver

Bungee cords look like crap, still allow the box to rub on scratch up interior.
NOT a good solution, so I "fabricated" a quick release stationary mounting point.

(Mounting point)

The back of the seat in front of box stops it from swinging out. If you need to move it, all you do is put the seat down and you can slide the box out.
I think I'll be upgrading to a better tool chest soon, but I just build upon the same concept.

Oh, and I threw some double sided sticky tape on the wood to it wouldn't scuff the interior wheel well. Plastic baggy fixed the exposed 3m stickyness.

I made a recessed grill for my SG5, cost me nearly nothing. Found some mesh tossed in the garbage at the metal shop across the alley. Lol

I'm surprised nobody else has had the urge to place a toolbox in their trunk. Did I just miss other people doing this or am I the only one?

I didnt want to take up floor space with my air tank, So I came up with an Idea... Hang it from a rear strut bar. So i ordere the Beatrush trunk cage, and made some mounts work for my tank, and mounted my tank to my rear strut bar.

Ive never seen this done before, so i thought it was pretty unique.

In my wrx I used to keep one, had the secured to the strut brace, worked well. But since took it out because I didn't want the extra 50lbs of weight

Dunno if we're just weird or what. I have a tool bag in my Foz. I use the tie downs and one of my spare straps at the moment.

We must be weird, but unique and custom WOOO!

Straps just kept causing me problems, not permanent enough, yet a pain to set back up.

Wow, THAT is badass! Looks good, functional, AND you get to keep most of your trunk for actually carrying stuff!

Looks custom and unique indeed. But I'm not personally sure I'd want all that stress pulling down on struts/strut bar. But like I said its custom also, I always carry tools with me in my car, can't explain how many times they have come in handy haha

Halo's are white not really blue like the digital camera portrays, and I don't drive around at night with just my red "eyes" on...I wouldn't see a thing lol.

Do you have one LED in each end? I have been looking for something like this for lighting up my cup holders and didn't know what to use for the bar until your post. Genius...

What's the tank used for? Air bags? Tire refills? Just curious, BTW.

Based on the Airlift performance sticker on his rear window, I'd think these are for a bagged car.

more pics of car please!
