Asperger's Syndrome and Anxiety: Guide to successful stress management by Nick Dubin is excellent for those interested. If not, carry on.

Nick, is there anyway we can have this as an "entrance exam" prior to posting in OT? it'd give us a way to figure out the brotatoes from the asshats, and may give us a line on what their intention is.

and i'm middle of the road, just like every other test i've taken aka i'm a dumbass.

Your Aspie score: 95 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 115 of 200

I've seen aspergers in a very mild and also severe form as I've done some volunteer work through my workplace. It's sad to see the severe form because you can tell these kids are extremely intelligent, but just have so much trouble expressing anything.

If it's mild enough for you to get and hold a job for seven years, I'd say you're lucky. Only thing I'd worry about is whether it's genetic or not if you ever plan to have a child.

Figured I'd give this thing a go.

Your Aspie score: 34 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 175 of 200
You are very likely neurotypical

yep

When I am explaining stuff to people I can usually see their eyes start to glaze over way before I even get to the 3rd paragraph.

I get to about minute mark #1, and they're done so I usually just stop talking at that point.

I've been struggling lately with disclosing it with a girl I met the weekend I was drunk posting in here. We went out last night, and it went pretty well. The thing is that I think she has something going on but I'm not sure.

She asked what I did for a living, so I told her and she kept asking questions that required me to go into more and more detail but she actually WANTED to know. I stopped halfway through sentences by habit, and she begged I go on more. I was at a loss for words at this point. She does EXTREMELY meticulous work at her job which I was all about. We then exchanged our stalking and hacking skills and how she wanted to find a private Minecraft server. I was pinching myself furiously at this point.

Long story short, she LOVES novelty socks so I called in a favor to get the DC pack from a client (she saw my Batman socks over last weekend) and sent me pictures of each pair haha. We also send Socially Awkward Penguin memes of real life events during the week to each other.

Which comes to my next issue...I kind of want to tell her, but I'm not sure she would understand, but I think she might have something going on too. I feel like it's too soon, what do you guys think?

C/N: It's a lonely world we live in.
