wow this thread moves fast. the car came with the front/rear spoiler and side skirts from factory. i had a recent frontal accident which destroyed the front bumper (it's all 1 pice its a wrx bumper). therefore i just bought a 2.5i bumper for cheap and added a oem front spoiler all for 150$. i like it better than wrx bumper to be honest, it looks mean from the sides.

Yes, how easy is it? Idk. Probably not too bad since it's got the same stuff just a different arrangement.

Looks good. These shots make it look like it has a black or CF hood. Looks good regardless, what you lowered on?

Thanks. At that time (in vid) a couple years ago I just had a K&N filter. My car has always sounded cool. Only difference I can imagine is it's a ''California emissions'' '09 model that has 175hp instead of 170hp. Not sure how or why that is- It was on Subaru website though.

I bought it new and have done no other mods to exhaust. Now I use stock paper filter cause people here scared me with stories about K&N not filtering well and oil getting on MAF sensor.

I got an HD cam and want to make a better HD vid.

yeah probably would just have to in plug the connections from the 2.5i cluster and plug them in in the correct spot on the wrx cluster right? that sounds like how it would be done?

If the plugs are the same. I wouldn't be surprised if they're different. I know that the HVAC isn't compatible.

I believe the cluster it self can be swapped but some connections won't work from my understanding..

But I believe switching the cluster is one of the few things that completely voids your warranties, period. Messing with the odometer is strictly forbidden and dealers don't care if you wrote the miles down or what not. I was going to try this but understanding the warranty stuff changed my mind.

There was someone that did that on here....too lazy to look it up. He ran into a problem (forgot what it was, maybe the warning lights) but hasn't posted an update

I wouldn't want to mess with mileage on a newer non-turbo Subaru. If the Carfax report ever shows the odometer was tampered with the car is basically worthless. On an older WRX or GC I wouldn't be so worried because most of them are so highly modified, rebuilt motors, swaps, etc.... Unless you plan on running your 2.5i to the ground or swapping it, I wouldn't swap the dash out.

I mounted both Hellas behind the grill today during lunch, but only had time to wire up one of them (using stock wires and a ground). But sweet mother god is it f'ing loud!

Finally picked up another D40 off Craigslist after I sold my last one 6 months ago. Took a quick test shot to be sure it worked. I'll eventually get something high end. This works for me though now.
