threw this in today:
front bushings and rear bushing were a royal PITA using ramps... and I didn't have a wrench big enough to yank off the o2 sensor... but oh well. ![]() scrapped my bumper on a steep driveway... so i threw the lip on there yesterday. it appears I'm not alone in that the spacing on these can be a little whacky. i swapped out the bolts and cheap bushing thingies that came with the kit for regular screws.. they are on there tight after drilling pilot holes, gonna throw some nuts and washers on there later. ![]() ![]()

i have a can of plasti-dip for my grill - but i'd like to do the grill first, then run the red pin-stripe on it (saw in another post) then, do my fender badges like that... flat black and red. ![]() |

i used gloas black rustoleum and gloss red rustoleum from autozone. then cleared it with glossy rustoleum and then my last coat i spritz/light sprays to give it a textured final product. fairly easy juat tideous. especiallly the cutting out ofthe wrx. im sure u can use vinyl from doing ur grill on it though which was my original idea

since i can't decide on what color plasti-dip.... voila!
in a funny "daily driver" cheesy way, i kinda like the look vs. the plain black steelie "OH LOOK AT ME, THESE ARE MY WINTERZ RIMZ" look. ETA: 16" Steelies w / General Altimax 215-55-16. they are loud as hell, especially around turns. ![]() |

brz is a better track car as far as handling. it has far more potential than my sti as far as sheer handling.
its light. yes it has 200hp but its about power to weight. power can ALWAYS be added. cheaper payment and much better mpg's. cheaper insurance. my sti would be gone regardless and i'd rather stay in the family with a subaru. want to start fresh, on a car that hasn't been seen with the same things over and over again. |
