Wait for the STi model to come out then go ahead with the turbo kit that has been in the works for it. I think they are pushing 450RWHP, which is more to what I like. I already have my base line Subaru to play with and modify quite a bit next year. So no BRZ for me. They do look hot though, I will give them that.

I know single tip isn't popular with most consumers. I just personally think an extra outlet that has no performance benefit and adds weight is out of place on what is supposed to be a lightweight "drivers car".

To be fair, you were the one listing off how it could look better.

and that "function" sounds like a honda fart can with its single tip.

I'm sorry but my BRZ was designed with 2 tips from one pipe splitting into 2 with two small mufflers. I would see your point if it was one pipe to one muffler and then split into two tips. As for the "weight" saved. I bet removing my spare tire would make up for what ever weight the one muffler is.

Also having a large open hole left empty looks very stupid.

What about that interior fart sound generator, any plans for upgrades on that thing.

I'd definitely go for something quieter, that was just the first example of a single tip I found. Talking about how your BRZ was designed, you should take a look under the rear bumper. I bet you'll find one big muffler with one pipe entering and two exiting.

The nice thing about weight savings is its cumulative. Lighter muffler, remove spare, lightweight wheels, battery, etc all of a sudden you've got a 2600 lb BRZ. I haven't got a current weight on my GC swap but I've been pretty meticulous about little weight savings here and there. Last I checked it was at 2775 lbs, not bad for a full 6 speed STI drivetrain and some extra chassis bracing added.

And for the 4th time, I agree the single tip looks worse.

Don't worry about it EBY,

They get a little edgy and puffy chested anytime anyone insinuates the BRZ isn't already perfect. There will be no criticism whatsoever when folks are making monthly payments.

I want a louder cabin noise generator. Must overcome audio! haha

Don't mind Mav. He's the sweetest Canadian you'll ever meet. I'd rather go single-tip than deal with the looks of the stock USDM exhaust. However, for a fraction of the cost we can just get bolt-on tips and call it good. It makes the end look 100 times better.

I actually welcome constructive criticism of the BRZ. I would like to know where improvements could be made. With the WRX it was always either, "You suck" or "should've bought an STI." I might still suck, but there is no higher trim BRZ at the moment, so this should be fun.

I'm down... You'd be person number #6 to drive it haha. I'd let your wife drive it too... Since she has good taste and all.

I don't drink...so beer is unnecessary.

Hell I let Kyle do miles 50-101 of breakin. I didn't even yell at him when he was like "OMG the steering is amazing" while turning the steering wheel rapidly back and forth while driving down the narrow 2-lane Seward Highway.

Hahaha. It was AMAZING, I'm really addicted to the driving experience the BRZ brings.
You know you had fun taking those sweeping corners

I'm pretty jealous of the brzers tbh, but I realized I couldn't let my current beauty go, and I'm thankful I didn't. Hopefully when my wedding is over next year, they'll have a convertible version ready or in the plans to be released with the torque dip problem fixed =D. STI w/ wide body maybe? Mmm I can wait two years to b the first one to have one of them =D

I think a convertable would defeat part of the purpose of the car, widebody looks amazing though.

I think a turbo also defeats the purpose of the car and I don't think the torque dip is really a "problem". I think it's a feature that was implemented to separate the boys from the men.

I think it was a feature implemented to rustle twice as much money out of the initial buyers who then trade in for the STI version when it hits the market.

Subaru, though, has said that the ECU doesn't need to be replaced no matter the mileage a reflash is all that's required. It appears that some owners who have had the reflash have suffered the problem again.
