Buying rs, engine swap or rebuild? Help!

I am looking to buy a 95 rs with 200,000 miles for $1000 to $2000. I found one for $1200 with minimal rust and 3rd gear not working but it still drives.

I want to turn it into my DD and do a little rallyross with it so i can reduce the mileage to my wrx and not risk it in rallyross.

what would be the better and cheaper route to go, rebuild the rs block and tranny or do a wrx swap on it? I was thinking about an 03 wrx or 04 wrx engine swap. If I'm lucky enough I wanted to do a jdm 95 wrx or STI engine swap and willing to risk the hassles of getting parts for that.

I just want the best bang for my buck, I don't care if it will be turbo charged or not because I already i have a heavily modified turbo car (my 07 wrx)

Opinions and fast would be fine. Facts about whats the better route, opinions about what is preferred.
