Default dent on side fender

Parked my car up in nyc, came back and noticed a small dent on my fender. Not sure if it's expensive / worth fixing since it's on the fender arch where the body line is. Its more noticeable in person and under the sun. Anyone know approximately how much it would cost or whether paintless dent removal can even be done?

Please do not use a hammer to fix it, will more then likely make it look worse. Google some Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) places local to you and get some quotes. Im sure you you can even email them that pic and they can give you an estimate.

thanks for suggestions, wanted to avoid bringing it into a shop if it's going to be expensive since I've been kind of busy with work, but looks like I'm going to have to do it.

I have two dents that look EXACTLY like that. One place told me PDR wouldn't fix it and Subaru said they could PDR both for $125

That dent doesnt look so bad. if you have time and patience, you can probably do a pdr yourself to save money.

Well $125 was for two...I'm sure most PDR places would give a free estimate though.

^^^^^^ Listen to this advice. Do not try to repair it yourself unless you are prepared for the likely possibility that it will look worse than it does now. ....and/or will not be repairable at that point when you realize your mistake (short of body work/repaint).

PDR techs will usually come to your location and as was mentioned, will sometimes provide feedback/quotes via email (just send them a picture).

$125 is pretty reasonable actually, especially for 2 dents

You could try the ol` hairdryer and a can of compressed air. Just make sure it has C02 in it and flip it upside down. Google/Youtube it you'll see what I'm talking about.

The PDR guys do a great job..had my cars done many times. for $125 your car will look like new. Do it yourself and it will likely be a screwup.

pull the plastic crap inner fender well off. push it out with your thumb put back on the well. hope that nothing even looks at your fender because they are like beer cans. how come nobody wrote that "don't you have more important things to worry about in your life"? i thought that was the NASIOC way? Good luck with your repair.

Luckily, that crap has stayed out of this and some other sub forums for the most part but I guess it was bound to spill over at some point.....

In either case, PDR is the way to go. Try pushing it out yourself and you're bound to make it worse and/or make it impossible for a PDR tech to repair in the future.

I have a similar dent almost exact! I was being charged around 250 and thats on the low end so it may be a little more? Its not worth it but it bugs me that its there so i most likely will get it done. Im interested in the painless dent removal tho

Got my first dent earlier today on my 2 month old WRX. Dent was like 2 inch by 1/2 an inch long, no paint chip. Went to a shop close by to have an estimate, the guy said that it'll take 3 days to finish and about $400 for the cost. I'm like, can you do a paint less dent removal since there is no paint that got chipped, trying to save the whole panel. He insist that it needs to be done. Walked away, googled PDR on site, found one, called, the guy said bring it over, went there, fixed it for an hour, charged me $45. The car looked like nothing happened. Now I know where to go the next time.
