Most modded cars are worth more in parts then all together its quite simple look at the kelly blue book on a 2002/2003 WRX then do the math on fair market value of parts that make up some of the heavy modded bugs.

I know. But there is almost always a window where the owner tries to sell the car all in, for pennies on the dollar in terms of mods, but folks rarely bite. Then of course they turn around and dump 10K worth of mods into a car anyway. Keeps the vendor and resale market lively at least I've always thought that KBB is a silly system to apply to enthusiast cars but people keep on trying to use it.

the only way you'll make money modding a car is picking the right car and right mods... followed by hiding it for fifty years.

Bought from Subaru Genuine Parts and they are molded!

My plan was, back when I was an idiot, to use the prepainted OEM flares but due to my stupid rolled fenders I was forced to mold and repaint both the quarters and flares anyway

Put a link to your sale thread as a signature at the bottom of all your posts. That might help.

Nice, I plan on ordering them soon. So I should mold the flares on first and then roll my fenders?

+1 on this!! For some reason I never understood why people try to sell highly modded cars and expect people to pay what they are asking. If people would just simpley save all of their stock parts selling their cars would'nt be an issue. Most buyers don't want someone elses issues or mods and I can't blame them. I have bought a few pre-modded cars in the past and had issues with every one of them due to mods. When I bought my bugeye I made it a point to buy as close to bone stock as possible. It took me 4 months but I eventually found the right one.
