Well, its def. better than stock because:
1. Shorter throws / better feel when shifting 2. Less "slop" feel / better feel when shifting The bad: 1. Increase noise - google "rattle w/ cobb (or kartboy ect) short throw shifter". |

The RA flaps imo look great. They lend an aire of awd authenticity. I do enjoy a good dirt road, so these are one of the very few things I plan to add. Window tint would be the next thing.
The WT mats are holding up super well to my work boots and have made cleaning the interior so much easier. |

ETA: i did a search AFTER i installed mine because i thought i might have done something wrong or possibly needed to adjust the length of the shifter more... but thinking about it, it made 100% sense. the bushings are a lot stiffer that the OEM ones. it's not just Subaru's either... i got hits for all makes / models. Any hood deflectors out there better and cheaper than OEM Subaru? Also, is Rally Armour mud flaps the best out there? I think these 2 are must accessories, especially with the paint being so thin. I have 3 little chips on my Subie already =(

^From what I've heard, you'd be better off getting a clear bra on your car to protect it, rather than getting a hood deflector

I've occasionally seen clear bras get discolored from the sun with time. has this problem been fixed?

Are you guys planning to install the clear bras yourself? I would assume it's going to be a pain. Installing the rear bumper applique was annoying.

If I did more highway driving I'd consider having a clear bra professionally installed but as it is I don't do too much.

I'm kind of on the fence for getting it installed too, it's definitely not cheap and I can't stand the yellowing and discoloration. I guess I'll wait and see.

Just a heads-up, 20% off accessories and parts at subarupartswarehouse.com using coupon code "care12". Good until Oct 31st IIRC.

I previously had the OEM all weather mats and switched to the WeatherTechs recently. The OEM ones are more rubbery and gripy, while the WeatherTech ones are made out of a smoother plastic. I didn't experiencing any slipping though even with wet shoes.

Here's what I got:
Side cargo net & rear cargo net: more compartmentalized rear seat protector + cargo tray: protection for moving around stuff / camping stuff etc.... bumper side moldings: protect against inconsiderate people (lots here...) rear spoiler: feels like it finished the rear look rear bumper clear applique: protection tint & detail |

So far...
Ceramic tint - Great at keeping the heat out, nice matte appearance, A/C runs less often OEM trunk liner - Much better than any trim-to-fit aftermarket option. It's rubber, keeps items from sliding around and has raised edges so spills and dirt won't roll off into the carpet. Component speakers - Just a little more money and work over the Kicker tweeters and you can replace the woofers too. Fumoto valve - Makes for clean and easy oil changes. Winter tires - Bring out the best in the AWD/VDC/ABS systems in the snow and ice. Block heater - It's useful year round, reduces overall wear and time spent in PZEV startup and cabin heat is nearly instant. Leave the plug hanging out, and you can park in the hybrid spots at Best Buy. ![]() |
