2002 WRX. just replaced turbo <1k miles ago. I THINK I'm having compressor surge. I boost fine at ~18psi until 4k rpm. then boost drops to 9psi and rebuilds to 15-17psi by redline. I'm not sure whether it's compressor surge, waste gate issue, boost leak somewhere, etc. I thought it was the stock bov. tries turboxs hybrid to no avail. the car has roughly 134k miles. I data logged if it will help anyone to view the results.

Kinda turbo did u replace with and what was on there before? Have u checked for leaks?

just stuck with a td04. I can't find and obvious leaks. not to say it's impossible..

I'm not sure how to tell if it's waste gate. I datalogged so I'll take a look when I get home from class and see if I can make sense of it.

it turned out to be launch control! it was interfering with the BCS!
