Smile Im a Newbie in the WRX world!

Hey guys!

So I finally purchased my first WRX. Its a 2011 Premium 4 door (I love the though of having a trunk). I bought it used but absolutely love it! Ive always wanted one sense I was 16 and now 22, I am very happy I have one... 5 cars later. THis is my second Subaru I have had. I had a 09 Forester XT limited with Nav and all the acceories (AMAZING CAR) but at 21 driving it I felt like a 35 year old with kids. Im super stoked to finally be in the WRX family. I love the waves from the STIs and other WRXs. Its quite awesome. When I had my prelude I recived no love from other preludes haha. But, I have many questions to ask just wanted to introduce myself. I will post photos soon of my car. Alos, anyone else in the Kirkland, Redmond, Bothell, Kenmore or Bellevue area please get in touch! Would love to have meet ups and also take photos. Take care...

hi there. welcome! i was fortunate enough to have my subie at the age of 22. It is definitely a lot of fun to drive. First, i would add a short shifter + bushings. Second is getting an COBB Access Port. Third, save up A LOT of money for gas because you are going to use a lot of it!!!

Hey guys, I haven't been on here much. I am having trouble figuring out this site and navigating it. I also don't have a 100 by 100 photo. Also... are there any events coming up? Where can I go to look for these events? Also, how do I delete a thread/ reply?

Welcome back! As far as events go you'll have to either google your area for them or search here in the forums for your region and see if anybody has posted events, car shows, etc.

To delete a thread you just have to ask for it to be closed or deleted "Please Delete Thread"...or something like that haha

If you take photos from your phone you can upload them to tinypic.com and copy and paste the forum pic link and you will be able to post pics...you can also do this from your computer....hope this helps! Just tinker around with the site and you'll get the hang of it...read the newbie stickies also...they have tons of info on how to do things here

Welcome to the forum! I'm new here to I just joined. I just recently bought a 2013 WRX at the age of 24 so I know the feeling of finally owning a WRX. Good luck with the ride!

Welcome to the WRX family! I've had my WRX for just about a year now and I've fallen in love with the car as I'm sure you will too!

I haven't done anything with the car except tint the windows. I actually just bought a 6 year warranty extension. I just broke 20K miles on it a month or so ago but lately the weather is killing the beauty of my car. I need to learn how to clay bar and wax it. Its so expensive to get it done. Do you guys have any tips or hints on how to keep the car looking good and new? I'm also starting to get some rust on screws in the engine... is this normal? I feel like they are should be stainless steel screws...

Thins I would like to do...

1. Get some mud flaps
2. Find someone willing to do a trunk swap with me (HAVE: Blue WRX trunk with spoiler WANT BLUE STI trunk with Spoiler).
3. Replace my STI shift knob with the WRX shift Knob
4. Find custom rim bolts of the color of my car
5. Get colored Break Calibers

Im more about keeping my car Stock but making it look cool.
