Default 2011 WRX squeaking clutch issue. Warranty denied and car flagged. HELP!

Hi everyone,

I have a 2011 WRX with 15,000 miles on it and recently the clutch has been making a funny squeaking noise whenever I press it to the floor. I did a little research and found that this problem is quite common for 08+ WRX's and a couple guys have even had their entire clutches replaced when they brought their modded WRX's to their dealership. (http://www.wrxforums.com/forums/37-c...b-linkage.html)

Btw my car is running a TP stage 2 map with a Perrin dp. From what I've read a very probably cause of the squeaking noise could be that the entire clutch assembly is coming unwelded from the firewall so none of my modifications would have caused that to happen so I decided to just bring my car into the dealership to have them look at it.

I get a call about an hour later and I'm informed that the technician reported that I don't have a catalytic converter in my car and that my ecu has been tampered with and the codes don't match with the factory code so my warranty has been denied. They claim that they even called Subaru and they had my car flagged and that it was out of their power to do anything about my squeaking clutch issue because Subaru has deemed my car out of bounds for any warranty work.

I spoke with the manager when I went to pick my car up and he was basically an asshat who told me to just call up customer support and he was out of his power to do anything for me. I pushed the question that how could any of my mods have caused my clutch to squeak when it is probably the welds from the firewall and he gives back some stupid answer such as it could have been the extra power my aftermarket map gave my car which stressed the welds to break.

I'm at a bit of a dilemma right now. If I want to get a shop to fix this for me it's going to cost quite a bit if it's not just the welds from the firewall that are breaking off. I'm sure my clutch is alright but I'm pretty sure the throw out bearing might be something that's going bad which is going to be expensive to replace. I don't know if I should try going back completely stock, flashing the stock map back on the car and taking it to another dealership to see if they can fix my clutch issue. If my dealer flagged my car can other dealership see this?

If that doesn't work out my last resort is going to be to just sell the car because I really don't want to deal with any more issues this car is giving me

If anyone could chime in and give me a bit of advice that would be extremely helpful.

Thank
