Can't forget lighter as well... lol

Street car gets thrown out the window when you shave nearly 1000lbs off the car ... Street cars have heat/ac/radio ECT ... In the end "street" car is decided by the owner.., I could put drag radials on watsons car and call it a street car too.

IMO a perfect example of a street car is UGRs 8.3@180 mph Gallardo .. Looks show room stock, rolls around on 19s ... Has every single thing it came with stock and then some

I am only interested in the 4 cyl records, I will leave the 6 cyl Stuff to you and Rigoli. What was your best 4cyl time?

Waaaaay back in 2009 we ran 8.87@164 on a 5 speed H pattern box, street tyres etc as the car was also used for circuit racing and top speed runs (210mph) the strip times were just a by product, I can't believe nobody went faster before now!

The H6 car is circa 1000kg now Jr, it was 1250kg from the factory. Have you weighed Jons car, it must be far lighter with that little engine, no street trim, wipers, lights etc and all the carbon bits!

Who cares about weight its all about the numbers, I still beat your best 4cyl time and will beat the world record before long
Its all in good fun, I am sure you will beat the Rigoli 7 sec record for the 6cyl soon.

I do need to thank you Andy for all your help when I was in St Lucia, it was a lot of fun having you involved in the project and I would not be where I am today if you hadn't been there with you sage advice in the beginning.

Thanks Jon, I really enjoyed it, they were good times. Just a pity you are so far away now, although you seem to be in excellent hands with Jr + P&L. You have never been one to settle for 2nd best, thats for sure.

Oh wild! So your still running a full radiator?(havn't looked at your car in a minute).

Any idea why they are still running one in the drag car if your new setup is working so well.. just havn't blown it up yet to go to your setup?

Half rad, just like every other hondo/evo/sti with a forward facing turbo kit.

Drag car is sleeved, not concrete. Has sleeves because of the aggressive LC needed to launch a manual transmission car.

A few of us tried the concrete thing like all the honda/evo/supra.. everything guys. It just doesn't work properly on the subaru

Ah ok. I remember when eddy was the driver of the pnl car, he said they were using concrete. So I figured jon might have been too.

I do find it disappointing that there are so few 8 second Scoobys on this side of the pond. Few performance shops except P&L seem interested in racing and all the manufactures are not interested in any sponsorship. I must say the Driveshaft shop has been fantastic and the exception to the rule, their responsiveness and ability to produce ever stronger shafts is amazing. Is is me or interest in Subaru Drag racing in the USA is diminishing?

It's because you can't drag hellaflush STi's on $500 coilovers.

We hope to have an 8sec car up here very soon. still working out some bugs before it goes to the track
I think people get turned off drag racing cause so many people break stuff. i'm still a big fan of it, and will give it a go once my car is finished
