I've worked on Nissans and Hondas that repinned the end of the harness for a single milspec connector using a bulkhead on the firewall. It just makes engine removal easier, not that it's hard as is or anything. I was mostly joking though.

yea its prob pretty heavy, but its a built viper motor under there, has 800+hp (not sure if that was whp), and a very expensive trans and rear end. 9.3 first pass I believe it made

Well....its been a while. Ran into some issues with the first motor. Ended up blowing a head gasket after ~2500 miles in my STi.

Heres a pic of how the head studs were installed.

Heres a pic of how far they should have been into the block.

And teh aftermath.....stripped block

Tried to have the block machined for bigger studs, but that didnt work out and the block had to be scrapped.

My STi is back on the road now, motor built and assembled by Keegan Engineering. Mike's been a pleasure to work with and very knowledgable. He used to work at Cosworth and I believe he used to help build Easystreets motors.

Keegan Engineering

Now that the crap is outta the way....onto the progress pics. I am trying to make Easystreet's shootout on may 5th in Vegas

ESX Subaru Shootout, May 5th, 2013 Las Vegas Speedway

That means double time

Master Fab man Kenny of Alliance Fabriactions practicing some different speeds, thickness, layers with the tig. The **** just amazes me.

Then some AFR troubleshooting on my ****box

Then i tried to fabricate my first piece. I did most of the work, besides the tig, with a crapload of instruction from kenny

Ferrea Valvetrain, GSC 282 cams, closed deck block, heads are getting CNC'd, JE 100mm pistons, ACL Bearings, and manley turbo tuffs are all off with Mike from Keegan Engineering getting put together.

And the 6 speed dogbox is at Andrewtech getting the 2nd gear replaced.

All the stars in the universe have to align for us to make the May 5th vegas event....but we're trying.

I was thinking about going to the event in Vegas too Ron but probably not racing. If you need a hand or a spare pit body let me know.

Dude that sucks just like my shortblock... I was able to save my block by using a timeserts. They use them in the honda world and they can hold 50psi of boost.
