What would you rather have..the ej20g or the ej20k?

nothing but a 205/207/255/257 should go into a WRX.

wow great information, ive been toying with the idea of a jdm swap into a porsche 914, im smog exempt so i dont necessarily care about the obd2. I was also thinking about having Outfront Motorsports do the wiring for me but this thread has got me thinking i may try it myself.

This is my first time around with a subaru so thanks in advance. I have a JDM ej20GV (it came out of an impreza). that I want to put in a 95 legacy. Problem is the engine was hooked to an auto transmission and the legacy is auto. I have a convertor plate from an 06 USDM WRX engine (which is probaly different), but don't know where to get one for the JDM engine or if I'll need any other mods. Any advice would be appreciated.

I am doing a JDM ej20h swap with JDM sti trans into a usdm forester. The guy that's doing it for me will know exactly the answer to that question as he only deals in JDM

What about putting an older Japenese motor in my newer car (i.e. 94-96 EJ20g into my 99 RS). Sure, why not? JDM motors only have at most 60,000 miles - it plugs in and works just fine.
I didn't explain properly. I want to do the full front clip, but in the meantime the 04WRX is dead. Will the 96-98 JDM just plug in? No ECU problems?? Sean |
