99 Legacy outback ej20 exhaust solution.

Hey guys, I'm working on finishing up my ej20 swap and I'm hoping I can get some help regarding exhaust. I've heard, but can't seem to confirm, that I can take the exhaust from a wrx (of some year...) and just change some of the hanger locations and that will be decent flow for my new motor. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I would think the leggy exhaust would be to restricted. When I put a jdm 20k in my leggy O/B I
used the down pipe from the turbo then into a custom built 3.0 inch the rest of the way back.

Oh and I'm sure the leggy is longer than an impress.

That's kinda what I was thinking I was going to have to do. I was just Hoping I'd be able to save some money. Additionally, I want it quiet. So I was hoping I could get some factory sti exhaust or something cheaper and it'd be quiet.

Alignment 100$
Exhaust work 300$
Timing belt and plugs 100$

Rad? Maybe 200$
Used hood with scoop and splitter 150$
Fab up some power steering lines 75$

I got a ej20d gc8 front clip with driveshaft axles and diff, Fuel pump etc. for 2k. I've probably dropped another 600 on random stuff. And I still have to do exhaust. And likely a dyno tune for 92 octane. Looks like ~$3500 for me, and I'm trying to stay affordable.
