I just installed this on my car about a week ago.
2007 WRX TR Fitment was great!! Since there was only one hole on the bottom for the IC, i just grabbed another bolt and threaded it into the non threaded hole, and all is well! |

Hell yeah it is.
Still doing good over here after about three weeks! No leaks, great fitment. Also did some logging, and for some reason after going to the FMIC my MAF is reading that its pulling in about 60 g/s more than before, injector duty cycle went up a good amount, but also that I'm running a tad leaner. Just assuming from the dense as cold air that was going on, causing the ECU to dump more fuel (Higher Injector Duty Cycle), but it still not being enough since I'm getting in about 290 g/s of air lol so its still bit leaner. Tune is next on the menu, after larger injectors - looks like theyre maxed! |

Well I own a WRX now and this is probably my 3rd or 4th SSAC type FMIC. it's a GMS FMIC, with Aluminum piping but same basic design. I made it work with my APS 65 intake...
Getting tuned soon, well see how this performs. My SSAC intercoolers always performed well on my 30R STi. ![]() Last edited by chlnOrSlpn?; 02-02-2011 at 05:39 PM. |

just installed mine with the perrin blow thru. awesome kit. went in with no problems. it was really easy. had to cut a lil more outta an 07 bumper than i wouldve like but its all good.
sidenote: if you use the perrin blo thru you'll most likely lose your fogs. im sure you could make something work but as of right now i had to take my fogs out. |

What did you have to do in order to make it work with the APS intake? |

Mine's been on since early 2006.. without a single issue... Even came with 2 extra couplers and 3 extra t-bolt clamps. I have yet to find higher quality couplers than what came with my SSAC kit for use with other projects. Last edited by jackansi; 10-19-2012 at 03:45 PM. |

My WRX has been running this setup for years and I have since sold the car and it is still running it. Only had one t-bolt clamp break on me the entire time, which was likely because I used a pneumatic ratchet to tighten all of them

just an FYI to all... my friend recently got in an accident and since he had a FMIC which required the removal of his crash bar, the damage was much more significant than it should have been.
Long story short, insurance covered the repairs but little did anyone know, the crash damaged the water pump causing the car to overheat and warp the heads/block. The insurance co found out about the removed bumper beam and told him to screw off when he asked to have the engine rebuilt. He had to cover the entire engine rebuild out of pocket. So, let this be a lesson to anyone here thinking about getting a fmic... KEEP YOUR CRASH BAR or have a nice solid/sturdy one fabricated because not having one will cost you... and that aluminum bracket holding the intercooler is NOT a solid bracket. the end |

I'm looking to put this on a salvage title 2002 forester S with bull bars, hopefully those would soak up most of the front end damage in the event of a gnarly crash.

Already got contact from XS power about pricing, and will likely be buying from them. SSAC lists them for $550 + 50 shipped on their website now, and their ebay store doesn't have any shown. Thanks for the input, I will fill out my profile.
